We love having CSI students!! 😃

Integrative health care is where it’s all headed!! We coordinate & collaborate with surgeons, physicians & practices throughout the valley to offer a fullness in health care that sometimes can be disjointed. We fill those gaps that have been left empty…….its why you’ve felt lost in the system. It’s why it sometimes feels segmented…because it is.

Today we had great conversations about collaborative approaches. Root cause health care. Integrative & comprehensive programs that produce outcomes which far out perform & exceed expectations.

I think it’s important to note the seeds planted in a balanced exposure to health care is the healthiest it’s ever been. We love being a part of a solid & healthy step forward in growth & learning for these students & for healthcare as a whole.

We invited one of our awesome nurses who is a CSI graduate to come be with us today! What a party! We had a fun full day of patients & and such great discussions!

When one person does better….we all do better. Invest in those around you. Connect. Lead by example. And give a hand UP!🫶

PICK YOUR HARD. 🌿

Taking care of yourself takes work.
But so does not taking care of yourself.

Healthy food costs money. So do medications, appointments, missed work, and chronic illness.

Exercise takes energy. So does living every day exhausted, uncomfortable, or in pain.

Preventative care takes time. So do procedures, treatments, recovery, and managing health problems after they develop.

Changing habits is hard.
Staying consistent is hard.
Prioritizing yourself is hard.

But being sick is hard, too.

The difference? One kind of hard is an investment in where you’re going.

Wellness isn’t about perfection. It’s about making small, intentional choices today that give you a better chance at more energy, more mobility, more independence, and more life tomorrow.

You’re going to spend the time.
You’re going to spend the energy.
You’re going to make sacrifices either way.

Pick the hard that builds you. 💚
At the end of the day….it’s the quality of life that is self defining. If you don’t feel well enough to enjoy your life it doesn’t matter how fancy your car is. If you can’t play w your grandkids it doesn’t much matter how big your house is. It’s difficult to have good relationships if you’re grumpy all the time or your illness has prioritized over others. If you’re preoccupied with being sick it’s almost impossible to enjoy life as intended.

🧠 TMS: What Does It Actually Do?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate targeted areas of the brain.

Rather than simply “boosting” one brain chemical, TMS works by influencing the activity of brain circuits involved in mood, motivation, attention, emotional regulation, and behavior. Repeated stimulation can encourage neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to strengthen and reorganize its connections.

Research suggests TMS can also influence signaling involving important neurotransmitters and growth factors such as dopamine, serotonin, glutamate, GABA, norepinephrine and BDNF.

🌿 What is TMS used for?

TMS has its strongest established clinical use in major depression, particularly when traditional treatments haven’t provided enough relief. Certain TMS systems/protocols are also FDA-cleared for conditions such as OCD migraine, PTSD, addiction, chronic pain, attention/focus concerns, and other neurological and mental-health conditions.

Today was so fun! The College of Southern Idaho Nursing Program has partnered with us here at Central Idaho Wellness & we are an official clinical site!
We had our first student come for clinicals today! What a neat thing to teach in real time about integrative health care & root cause approaches!

We’re community based.
Grass roots.
Our employees are all Jerome residents.
We as owners live around the corner.
This isn’t a ‘business venture’ …it’s for you. It’s nonprofit….bc when one person does better….we all do better.

But I want to go further. It’s something I hear in the circles we hold conversations in.

“We are Jerome”
“They are Jerome”
“She’s a Girl Jerome raised”

It applies to us too. We’re just one big human fam. It takes a village. And we love this building so much; it used to be the Idaho Fish & Game building. We purchased it last year….it needed a lil work bc 1972 wasn’t yesterday. You know who has helped us? Everyone. It’s been a lil like a barn raising, like back in the day….when community members come together.

A father & son welding team…..who straightened an old bowed flag pole to hold the American flag again. A neighbor who brought a full sized loader & chains to hoist said flag pole back to upright. A 30 yr special ops army veteran to help us restring a new rope & raise a beautiful new 10 ft flag. The mayor installed the handicap parking signs & many other points of knowledge & improvements. The city administrator helped haul a hutch up stairs to what is now the main treatment room. Firemen helped haul heavy furniture up to make room for new treatment areas to serve the community.

Local painters, local repairmen, local HVAC, builders, local plumbers, local electricians & local asphalt sealers. Stump grinders too. We built fences w our neighbor. Our city workers help us figure our ‘wishing wells’ & several other dynamics of our older establishment. Local IT, local web page builders, local designers & local commercial printers.

We are Jerome.

Someone told me there was a written assignment years ago in the jerome school district. The assignment was to name a place or building in the community they’d like to see brought back to full use/full glory. Our building was one of the top contenders they’d like to see brought back from vacancy. If you know the story raise your hand!

We too are Jerome.
It is where generations come to heal.
It is where the give & take of community is ever present.
It is where the community comes together to reconnect in ways we’d never expect.
It’s where you’ll see arms linked in care w our older community members to see them to their cars safely.
Is it where you’ll see mothers, fathers, grandparents & children find a better quality of life in their health.
I’ve said it many times….we have the best patrons…..& it’s bc it’s you. It’s the town & the valley…..it’s Idaho & neighboring states. And we’re all finding higher ground together.

We’re feeling pretty grateful for our community & tho we’ll get back to posts with community education & current events etc…..we just wanted to pause & say thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your families, your friends & knowing we’ll always have a hand outstretched to help you to the next step….
