☀️A little sunshine goes a long way—when enjoyed safely! 💙

Summer is the perfect time to enjoy fresh air, beautiful weather, and time outdoors. For older adults, however, it’s especially important to protect against harmful UV rays. As we age, our skin becomes thinner and more sensitive, making sun safety an essential part of staying healthy.

Here are a few easy ways to enjoy the sunshine safely:
👒 Wear a wide-brimmed hat
🕶️ Protect your eyes with UV-blocking sunglasses
🧴 Apply SPF 30+ sunscreen and reapply every two hours
🌳 Take breaks in the shade, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
💧 Stay hydrated throughout the day

This month, we stand together to raise awareness, honor those living with Alzheimer’s disease, and support the families and caregivers who walk beside them every day.

Our brains hold our memories, stories, and the moments that make us who we are. Let’s continue to show compassion, patience, and understanding to those experiencing memory loss.

🧠 Keep your brain healthy by staying active, socially connected, eating well, exercising, and engaging in lifelong learning.
