I was going to call it The Foundation. Then I sat with it a while longer and the real name came to me.

Areíto.

In Taíno an areíto was a ceremonial song and dance, and it’s how the people carried memory, history, medicine, law, all of it, from one generation to the next. Nothing written down anywhere. Sung, danced, in a circle, together. It was the technology for passing on what mattered so it wouldn’t get lost.

Mi abuela era curandera. And that knowledge skipped my parents’ generation completely, nobody handed any of it to me. So I ended up in Peru sitting with Maestro Ricardo, dieting piñón blanco and in Mexico with Maestro Remi dieting aire sacha, slowly realizing I wasn’t learning something foreign... I was walking back toward something my own family already had.

Ten men, ten weeks, two weekends in a circle with cacao and the kind of transmission that doesn’t survive on a PDF.

Opening circle is October 9.

Men in their 30s and 40s who have done the therapy and the medicine and still handle it all alone.

Because your kids don’t inherit your money. They inherit your relationship with your body, your work, your rest and how you love. That transmission is already happening whether you designed it or not.

I spent $50k on business coaching in 2 years and I still could not be consistent.

A business coach. An agency that taught making money on Twitter. I learned a lot about content and about making money online. Same man, better vocabulary. None of it got to the stories underneath.

The men I work with have done the therapy, the medicine, the breathwork. They still handle it all alone.

One of them is a sales director who teaches yoga and breathwork on the side. He had spent more than 10 years thinking about one decision. Ethically. Logically. Financially. Everything except what he could feel in his body.

First thing I asked him was what a normal week looked like. Yes to everything. No to nothing. No rituals. Nothing that belonged only to him.

So we stopped adding. We built one practice that belonged to him, and he did it every week where others would feel the difference.

12 weeks later leadership started treating him differently. His partner of 13 years told him she sees him in a new light. And when I asked what the other men had to do with it, he said in a community of other men doing the work he was able to feel magnified.

That is what Areíto is. 10 men, 10 weeks, opening October 9. A container for high achieving men ready to hold the health, wealth, and family they needed growing up. Men in their 30s and 40s who have done the therapy and the medicine and still handle it all alone.

If you have been thinking about it for 10 years, DM me “READY” before the seats are gone.

Daniel came in at a three out of ten.

Yes to everything. No to nothing. Boundaries with everyone but himself.

He’d done the yoga, the breathwork, the philosophy. He knew all of it. His body hadn’t caught up yet.

So we stopped adding. Listened. Regulated. Let him be witnessed by men doing their own work.

Twelve weeks on — his partner of thirteen years sees him in a new light. His colleagues pull from the calm he carries into the room now.

What a pleasure, brother.

Watching a man return to himself never gets old.

That’s what we build inside Areíto. 10 men. 10 weeks. Opening October 9.

If you’re ready, DM me READY.

I was more comfortable with the idea of dying than I was with asking for help.

Bullied as a kid. Young father. Then cancer. And somewhere in all of that fear became the operating system. Put everybody else first, handle it alone, don’t be a burden to anyone.

It got so bad that in the middle of a cancer process, asking someone to just sit with me felt harder than the cancer did.

I called my best friends from Boston University and told them the tumor was growing faster than I could control. They said they wanted to start a GoFundMe. I said no. Of course I said no.

They did it anyway.

And I sat there with shame in my throat and relief right underneath it.

I went into surgery for bone cancer. They removed my lower jaw and rebuilt it with my fibula. 7 hours, and then 1.5 months between the hospital and a rehab center.

One of them showed up with a blender and a pillow and it was exactly what I needed.

Over 30K raised by a community I didn’t know was standing there the whole time.

It wasn’t the diagnosis that changed me. It wasn’t the surgery. It wasn’t another program or more discipline.

It was asking. And then receiving.

What I found on the other side was a room full of men who could hold me without trying to fix me. So I started building those rooms for other people, retreats, medicine hikes, cacao ceremonies... and it’s crazy how every room I held for somebody else finished healing something in me.

These days I rest in the middle of a workday, wherever I am, and I don’t explain it to anybody. I say the true thing to my family and my partner instead of managing them into a better mood. I’m in nature every month. And when I need help I ask in one sentence — no build up, no preamble, no apology attached to the end of it.

That’s why I built Areíto. 10 men, 10 weeks, opening October 9. A container for high achieving men ready to hold the health, wealth, and family they needed growing up. Men in their 30s and 40s who have done the therapy and the medicine and still handle it all alone.

If you’ve been handling it alone, DM me “TUESDAY” before the seats are gone.

If you can explain your childhood conditioning better than most therapists and you still say yes when you mean no – then this is for you.

I did this for ten years. Read the books, went to therapy, sat in ceremony. And I had language for all of it. I could describe my Attachment style, nervous system, my shadow. I could even narrate my own patterns while it was happening and still not stop it.

And nobody talks about that part, because insight is a lot easier to sell than change.

Insight lives in your head. Behavior lives in your body. You can’t think your way out of a pattern your body is still running... I tried for a decade.

So the main question I ask men now is what actually changed on a Tuesday afternoon. Who did you say no to. What did you let yourself feel without immediately trying to change it. What are you doing differently on a random Tuesday in November.

Because self-awareness without changed behavior is just really sophisticated self-abandonment.

If this moved something in you, lets talk about it. Shoot me a DM.

Here’s what I’ve learned since that moment. And it took a cancer diagnosis, a seven-hour surgery, years of training as an herbalist, and sitting in ceremony in the Peruvian Amazon to learn it.

The wellness industry has it backwards.

Wellness, the way most of us practice it, comes from the same framework as modern medicine: biomedicine. It treats the body like a machine. Something’s wrong? Remove it, repair it, manage it. Wellness is just the lifestyle version of that. Optimize, supplement, track, manage.

But there is another way of seeing the body. One that many of our grandmothers already knew. In holistic traditions, the body is not a machine to be managed. It is an intelligent, self-healing organism. And the goal is not wellness. The goal is vitality: the full expression of your life force.

You probably know me as:

Cancer survivor. Learned to listen to his body. Bone cancer in the jaw. Radical surgery. Deep healing.

All of that is true.

But the story I want to tell you doesn’t start with a diagnosis.

It starts years before that, in a moment that many of you have probably lived through yourselves.

It’s the spring of 2020.

I’m three months out of one of the most powerful spiritual experiences of my life, a week-long retreat in southern India, meditating with 300 people, eating Ayurvedic meals, floating as I walked.

I felt like I could manifest anything through thought alone.

And now I’m locked in my apartment in Newark.

I’m managing almost eight million dollars in business for Shutterstock as a key account manager.

Amazon, Walmart, major accounts. And the world has just shut down…

A new VP of sales comes in. Joins my calls.

And I realize that I can’t concentrate. I can’t remember things. I can’t advocate for myself.

I had just spent a week in India learning to listen to my body.

Three months later, I couldn’t hear a thing.

Save + share this post. Nominate a man who needs this.

For years, I’ve supported high-achieving women in deep healing, emotional mastery, and plant-medicine integration.

And almost every one of them has asked me the same question:

“How do I help the men in my life heal too?”

Men today are carrying unspeakable pressure:
• Numbness they can’t talk about
• Grief they don’t understand
• Anger they never learned to process
• Loneliness hidden behind strength
• Purpose buried under survival mode

And when a man doesn’t have a space to break down, to feel, to remember who he really is…

He collapses quietly inside.

I know — because I did.

Like the men I now feel called to serve, I had a moment when life brought me to my knees.

Cancer in my jaw. Facing death at 33.
Everything I thought strength meant — shattered.

And that’s when the real journey began.

Today, I’m opening The Phoenix Rising: an 8-week masculine alchemy program — a sacred initiation for men who are ready to:

🔥 Break free from emotional suppression
🔥 Feel again — without losing their power
🔥 Honor their body, lineage & spirit
🔥 Build clarity, self-trust, and embodied leadership
🔥 Transform pain into purpose

But before we enroll the first men… I want to speak with them.

I’m inviting 25 men to private 1:1 calls to help shape this program.

These calls are for men who feel:
• Life is asking them to rise
• They’ve outgrown who they were
• The old way of being isn’t working
• They want depth, purpose, and inner peace

If you are that man — or you’re thinking of one right now…

👇🏽 Comment “PHOENIX” or DM me.
Women — send this to a man you love. Nominate him.

Some men from these calls will be offered a founding-member spot in the first cohort at a special rate.

This is not coaching.
This is initiation.
This is rebirth.

Let’s do this. 🧡🔥
