💙 WORTH THE WORK | The Heart Behind WC Recovery Coalition

Sometimes, the greatest impact of recovery work isn’t found in numbers or statistics. It’s found in the connections we make, the barriers we break, and the moments when people realize they are not alone.

Today, we’re highlighting Misty Mobley, Life Coach, Case Manager, and Group Facilitator at Anchored, and Mental Health Sector Representative for the Wayne County Recovery Coalition.

Reflecting on this year’s Recovery Bus Tour, Misty witnessed something powerful: a community coming together in a way she had never seen before.

💙 Children playing together in the field.
💙 People praying, laughing, and sharing smiles.
💙 Volunteers working tirelessly to serve others.
💙 Individuals openly sharing their struggles without fear of judgment.

As Misty shared:
“And community matters. It’s important for everyone’s mental health, whether they’re struggling with substance abuse or not.” 💙

Her experience was a reminder that recovery is about more than overcoming challenges. It’s about creating spaces where people feel safe, supported, and accepted—where new bonds form, hope grows, and no one has to feel alone in their struggles.

Misty described the experience as “an absolutely beautiful environment,” sharing how proud, honored, and humbled she felt to be part of it.

✨ When a community comes together with compassion instead of judgment, we create opportunities for connection, healing, and lasting change.

That’s why this work is WORTH THE WORK. 💙
