Can’t wait to visit one of my favorite Elementary Schools! So grateful for their kindness and support for Mental Health! ❤️♥️📚✂️✏️

🍎And just like that, our first week back is in the books!🍎

What a great week at S.W. Carter Elementary! Our staff has been busy getting classrooms ready, making plans, preparing lessons, and getting everything in place for another amazing year!❤️

We wrapped up the week with Meet the Teachers last night, and we are officially ready to welcome our little Dragons back on Monday! We can’t wait to see all of our students and start a brand-new year filled with learning, growth, laughter, and memories!🥰

A HUGE thank you to our wonderful community partners who helped make our first week back extra special! 🤩

📝 Thank you to Farmers State Bank for providing an individual set of office supplies for each staff member! What a thoughtful way to help our teachers start the year prepared and ready to go!

🌮 Thank you to Shelby Savings Bank for treating our staff to breakfast tacos one morning this week! It was such a sweet way to fuel our teachers during a busy week.

We are so thankful for a community that continues to love and support our school and our staff!❤️

Parent training for ADHD?!🤩 I definitely have it on my to-do list! Who would be interested?! Of course there will be coffee and snacks!

This was my favorite session so far, and mindfulness is not my strong suit!

This is something we can all work on as parents, teachers, and professionals. We cannot expect more from children than we do ourselves.

Another great session!
Perfectionism and Impostor Syndrome are topics that have to be discussed when exploring ADHD.

One of my favorite discussions in this session was the one about the differences between social anxiety and rejection sensitivity, both of which are important to discuss with clients, and the differences should be explored. I would say social anxiety tends to be underdiagnosed and/or addressed in my office, and it's something that I will work on examining with my clients in the future.
