For more than 60 years, Community Health Centers have been building innovative care where it matters most. What started in 1965 as a small program to bring health care to areas with limited access has grown into a powerful network that now serves more than 52 million people at over 17,000 locations across the country.

ETSU Health has four CHCs: Johnson City Community Health Center, Johnson City Downtown Day Center, Hancock County Elementary School-Based Health Center and Hancock County Middle/High School-Based Health Center.

Our Johnson City Community Health Center and Downtown Day Center provide evidence-based care for patients seeking primary care, prenatal care and socialization needs for various population groups in the community.

Our Hancock County School-Based Health Centers are located next to Hancock County Elementary School and inside Hancock County Middle/High School in Sneedville. These clinics provide affordable primary care and urgent care services through sliding fee discounts.

During National Health Center Week, we’re celebrating the difference CHCs continue to make for our community every day.
