Today was a day our residents won’t soon forget. We had the incredible privilege of taking several of our veteran residents, along with spouses of veterans, to participate in the Dream Flights program—an organization dedicated to honoring America’s seniors by giving them the opportunity to experience the freedom and joy of flying in a restored WWII-era Stearman biplane.

For many, it was more than just a flight. It was a chance to relive treasured memories, celebrate a lifetime of service and sacrifice, and create one more unforgettable chapter filled with smiles, excitement, and a little bit of adventure.

A heartfelt thank you to Tri-City Aviation, Sport Clips Haircuts, Allen Jackson and Darryl and Melanie Smith for helping make this extraordinary day possible. Your generosity and support gave our residents an experience they will cherish forever, and we are so grateful for your part in making these dreams take flight. 🇺🇸✈️❤️

No two races will look exactly alike. Each community will create its own destinations, challenges, and experiences — making every adventure unique.

🎂 We’re excited to shine the spotlight on our wonderful evening receptionist, Terri! In addition to greeting everyone with a smile each evening, she also creates beautiful custom cakes and sweet treats through her business, Munky Buziness : Sweets & Treats. This gorgeous birthday cake was made for one of our resident’s daughters, and it’s just one example of the incredible talent she brings to everything she does. Be sure to congratulate Terri and keep her in mind for your next special celebration! 🍰💜

🌮 Good food, great company, and a colorful atmosphere made for the perfect afternoon! Our residents enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Wahaca Mexican Kitchen, where the beautifully decorated ceiling filled with vibrant hanging flags was almost as impressive as the delicious meal. Thank you to the staff for the warm hospitality and a dining experience everyone enjoyed!

📸 Resident Spotlight: Meet Shelby!

Shelby was born in Baileyton, Tennessee, and earned a medical technologist degree after attending ETSU and the University of Tennessee in Memphis. She worked in hospitals before returning to Tennessee, where she raised three sons, managed her family’s real estate, and later spent 15 years as office manager at Todd Interiors before retiring in 2004. Shelby and her husband enjoyed extensive European travel, including a 200-mile hike across northern England. Today, she enjoys exercise classes, bridge, and Mexican Train.

Laughter, conversation, and a little friendly detective work made for a wonderful Wine Down Wednesday! 🍷🕵️ Our residents put their guessing skills to the test during our “Who Am I?” Mystery Mixer, asking yes-or-no questions to discover the famous person on their backs. It was the perfect way to welcome new friends, spark new conversations, and create plenty of smiles along the way!
