Mini Miracles Pediatric Therapy is a company born out of a deep, God given desire to serve children with special needs, to enable them to succeed in all areas of life by teaching them skills and strategies needed to go through life with confidence. This is accomplished by empowering the families and educators that care for these children daily. Mini Miracles embraces a “coaching model” of therapy

that leans heavily on teaching parents, caregivers, and educators how to implement therapeutic techniques, strategies, equipment, and activities that will better the child’s overall functioning in all areas of development.

Head outside and search for leaves, rocks, flowers, sticks, or different colors in nature! 🌿☀️ Outdoor sensory play encourages curiosity, movement, and exploration. It’s also a great way to practice observation and descriptive language skills. Talk about what you find! Such as - Is the leaf smooth or rough? Is it large or small?

Day 10!

Walk like a bear, hop like a frog, or crawl like a crab! 🐻🐸 Animal walks help build coordination, body awareness, core strength, and motor planning skills. Plus, kids LOVE getting silly with it! These can be a great way to work through transitions as well! For example, when it’s time to get ready for bed you can say, “Would you like to be a bear or a kangaroo to go to the bedroom?”

Day 9!

Peeling and placing stickers is a great activity for fine and visual motor practice! Try placing stickers on paper, windows, cups, or even drawing targets for your child to match. Activities like this help strengthen little hands for future writing skills. For a more challenging task have your kiddo match letters, colors, or make sight words!
