The best preparation for a sciatic nerve glide is a gentle glute bridge to activate your lower spine and hip stabilizers without overloading the nerve.

Next, encourage opening in the hip with a piriform stretch

Safety Tips
🔸Keep movements slow and controlled.
🔸Stop immediately if you feel sharp or worsening pain.
🔸Only proceed to a seated sciatic nerve glide once your muscles feel warm and relaxed.

Knowledge is Empowerment

There are certain times in our life when things change dramatically. And feeling motivated to change usually stems from one of 3 reasons: shock, opportunity, or growth.

When we are experiencing challenges with our health, it can feel like our body isn’t familiar anymore. It can be frustrating when “things aren’t working the way they are supposed to.”

The journey back to reconnecting with your body can be deeply personal. In pelvic floor therapy, we will guide you to a clearer understanding of how your body works and how to be a detective of your own body. With this collaborative approach, we walk beside you, offer tailored support and guidance to help you feel whole and strong again. These tools can help you harness a sense of control that will benefit you even after you finish therapy. Are you feeling like life is giving you the shock, opportunity, or growth you need to make a change?

Pelvic floor therapy is more than just the pelvis. The healing process works best when we can take into account the holistic nature of our lives: what matters to us, who matters to us, and how can pelvic floor therapy reconnect you feeling confident and in control.

Through this holisitic lens, we will address how the physical symptoms you’re experiencing are woven in to the habits and routines in your life. In addition, using a trauma-informed approach recognizes the integral role our nervous system plays in recovery. This knowledge will guide you with the tools that you need to help you feel like yourself again.

MAYBE YOU’VE FOUND YOURSELF

…experiencing bladder or bowel leaks.

Navigating incontinence can be overwhelming, but with our focused pelvic floor rehabilitation, you're not alone. We're committed to transforming these challenges into a journey of empowerment and regained control.

Your pelvic floor is like any other muscle in your body. It needs to be able to move over a range of motion. Most leaking is resolved after we work on restoring your pelvic floor’s natural range of motion.

Recovery is ultimately measured by how you can regain control in your daily activities. We know that the answer isn’t to just give you a set of exercises and send you on your way. We work with you on strategies to feel less overwhelmed and more confident in doing the things that matter to you. And we do it in a way that fits into YOUR lifestyle.
