On the last Friday in May, the Rainbow Community Care team joined Evin at Oconomowoc - Inspired Senior Living in Lake Country for their Dunk Tank Fundraiser in support of the Walk to End Alzheimer's.

It was a beautiful, sunny afternoon for our Clinical Facility Liaison, Dana Lybeck, RN, and our Community Liaison, Britanie Peaslee, to connect with residents and families. Dana even took a few turns at the tank, and while she didn’t quite land the target, it was great to see so many others step up to send several of Evin’s managers in for a splash.

A big thank you to Evin for hosting such an engaging event and for everything they do for the community. Showing up for the people and places that care for our neighbors is always time well spent.

👣 Last Thursday, our bereavement team returned to Brandt-Quirk Park in Watertown for our second annual Community Grief Walk. 🌲

Spending time in nature is an effective way to help quiet the mind and reduce stress when navigating a loss. During the walk, participants had the opportunity to step away from daily routines and make intentional time for their grief—whether they chose to share stories with others or just walk in quiet reflection at their own comfortable pace.

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us. Remember, you don't have to carry your grief alone.

If you are navigating the journey of loss, you don’t have to walk it alone. Join Rainbow Community Care tomorrow morning for a gentle, supportive walk in nature alongside others who understand.

There is absolutely no requirement to talk or share your story—come to connect or simply walk in quiet reflection. Everyone is welcome.

The Details:
🗓️ When: Tomorrow, Thursday, June 4
🕙 Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Excursions take about an hour; join us at either 10:00 or 11:00 a.m.)
🌳Where: Brandt-Quirk Park (800 Carriage Hill Dr., Watertown)
👥 Meeting Point: Near the Storybook Trail, located past the baseball diamonds.

Friendly reminder: The nature trails are unpaved, so be sure to wear your comfortable walking shoes! 👟
