To wrap up the final days of the conference: “Echoes of Wisdom.”

This conference was not only about intergenerational trauma, but also about wisdom, resilience, and power. We spent time exploring how intergenerational wisdom lives within us, how it shows up, and how it can guide us in both our personal and professional lives.

We also reflected on “presence” and what it truly means to be here, in the now. We explored how our beliefs, nervous systems, past experiences, assumptions, and personal stories all shape what we see, feel, and bring into our interactions with others.

I’m thankful for all the people who have shared their wisdom with me and continue to support me, so I can better support those in our little corner of the world. 🌾

It’s a battle zone sometimes. 😅

We love the idea of raising a child who is strong, independent, and capable of holding their ground in the world. We want them to have the grit to say "no" and the confidence to stand by their boundaries when it matters.

But we often forget that those skills are developed at home, usually at our own expense.

It’s easy to value a child’s strength until that strength is directed at our own rules or our own schedule. In those moments, it’s tempting to label their resistance as "disrespect" and try to shut it down. But if we break their spirit just because it’s inconvenient for us, we are accidentally disarming them for the rest of their lives.

The real work is in recognizing that the "friction" we feel is actually the training ground. Our job isn't to crush their voice so our day is easier; it’s to help them refine that voice so it becomes a tool for their future.

It is exhausting, loud, and often incredibly frustrating. But it is the price of raising a human who isn't easily moved by the crowd.

Don't mistake their growing strength for a lack of respect. You’re just the first person they’re learning to hold their ground with. ❤️
