Adult and Teen Challenge began with one recovery home in NYC in 1958, and today there are over 1400 ATC worldwide. The Adult & Teen Challenge Vermont recovery program was established in 2005 by now-Senior Director Richard Welch. In 2019, we opened the Adult & Teen Challenge Northern New England Women's Home, the first long-term r
ecovery program of its kind in Vermont. Our 10-12 month program serves men and women ages 18 and up, with an option for an additional 12 months of aftercare and even an opportunity to use the available transitional housing component to help make the transition seamless and successful. At Adult & Teen Challenge Vermont, we believe that true recovery stems from addressing the root causes of addiction.
