We provide speech, language, dyslexia, social skills, and academic support to help children grow in skills and confidence.

✨ FREE screenings available Our Des Moines Metro location opened in August 2015 and we've been able to help students succeed with individualized programs since! Our programs first started in the Iowa

City area, where we have one location in North Liberty. We provide individual speech-language therapy sessions, individual tutoring sessions, and small-group academic programs to help students struggling with reading or math.

You've probably heard the term. Here's what it actually means for your child's day at school. 🧠

Executive function is the set of mental skills that help children:
📋 Plan and organize tasks
⏰ Manage their time
🎯 Stay focused
🔄 Shift between activities
😤 Regulate their emotions

It's the reason some children can sit down and start their homework without being asked — and the reason others need a little more support to get there.

Neither is wrong. Executive function skills develop at different rates for every child — and they can absolutely be strengthened with the right support.

Rest is not wasted time. For children, downtime is when their brains process everything they've learned, build emotional regulation, and recharge for what's next.

So take the morning slower. Read the book. Sit outside. Let it be easy today. 💛
