Sometimes, the hardest part of reconciliation is making the first move.

Pride tells us to wait for the other person to apologize. Hurt tells us to protect ourselves. And before we know it, days or even weeks have passed without making things right.

But what if you decided to take the first step?

Making the first move doesn't mean you're admitting you're wrong about everything. It doesn't mean the other person gets a free pass. It means you're choosing to value the relationship enough to open the door to healing.

You don't have to wait for your spouse to make the first move to start rebuilding your marriage. Sometimes, one act of humility can change the direction of an entire conversation.

What's one small step you could take today to move toward reconciliation?

Marriage is more than a feeling. It’s a commitment. And that commitment changes how we live our lives.

When you take your marriage vows, you’re making a promise to share your life with another person. Your decisions, your priorities, and even your sacrifices are no longer just about you.

That doesn’t mean you lose yourself in marriage. It means you choose to build a life together, even when it’s difficult, inconvenient, or requires sacrifice.

The marriage oath isn’t just something you say on your wedding day. It’s a promise you have to keep living out, day after day.

Are we treating our marriage vows like a lifelong commitment, or just words we said once?

Your partner’s emotional needs aren’t optional. They’re essential to a healthy, lasting relationship.

Love is more than staying together. It’s about making your partner feel heard, valued, understood, and emotionally safe. When those needs go unmet for too long, resentment grows, disconnection sets in, and the relationship begins to suffer.

A strong relationship isn’t built on love alone. It takes consistent effort, understanding, and a willingness to show up for each other.

What are you doing today to help your partner feel loved and appreciated?

Are you lost? Pick a Fight!

Share it if you like it!

What if feeling lost isn’t a sign that something is wrong with you—but a sign that you need something worth pursuing?

In this talk, we’ll look at nihilism—the idea that life has no inherent meaning or value—and how it can quietly show up in the world around us. More importantly, we’ll explore what nihilism can take from us: our motivation, our sense of purpose, our willingness to struggle, and even our ability to recognize that our lives matter.
But you are not powerless.

You have the ability to choose what you struggle for. Life gives you opportunities to develop your strengths, use your talents, serve others, and pursue things that can make you—and the people around you—more alive.

The question isn’t whether life will be difficult.

The question is: What difficulty is worth choosing?

We’ll finish with a practical set of questions you can use to reflect on your own life and identify a challenge that is meaningful, worthwhile, and worth taking on.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, directionless, bored, or like you’re simply going through the motions, this conversation is for you.

What if the way we talk about Christian divorce rates is missing the bigger picture?

There’s a popular claim that Christians divorce just as often as everyone else. But the reality is more complicated—and what we believe, how seriously we practice our faith, and how we approach marriage can make a significant difference.

Being called a Christian isn’t simply a label. Christian marriage is supposed to be shaped by sacrifice, forgiveness, fidelity, humility, and a commitment to love when it’s difficult.

So maybe the better question isn’t, “Do Christians get divorced?”

Maybe it’s: What does it actually mean to build a Christian marriage?

Marriage isn’t just about the wedding day. It’s about the vow you made.

When things get difficult, it can be easy to focus on what your spouse has done wrong, what has changed, or whether the relationship still feels the way it once did.

But sometimes it’s worth stepping back and remembering the oath you took.

Why did you make that vow?
Why did you choose this person?
What did that promise mean in your relationship with God?
And does that oath still mean something to you today?

“Come hell or high water” isn’t a promise that marriage will always be easy. It’s a reminder that love, commitment, and faithfulness matter most when things get hard.

Forgiveness is a choice before it’s a feeling. And in a Christian marriage, we have to be willing to extend that same mercy to our spouse that we hope Christ will extend to us. That doesn’t mean shortcomings don’t matter or that forgiveness is always easy. It means choosing grace, even when it’s hard, and letting our hearts catch up with that choice.
