Spring is here and we are ready for the nice weather! We made tulip silhouette paintings and played BINGO outside on one of our first warm days this month! Thanks to Melissa(Hilltop Heights) who came and painted flowers to look stained glass to put in our windows! We had a Shirley Temple movie day but I think our favorite part of the day is always the popcorn!! 🍿 The residents had a chance to win some prize’s during our Activity Raffle and to end our month of May during Cooking Club we took all the toppings you’d put in a chef salad and made a pasta salad and it was a hit!!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day! We started the morning out with a beautiful flower to the beautiful women here! In the afternoon we celebrated with some tea and goodies with our loved ones! We also planted flowers to place in their bedroom windows to watch grow! Thanks you Jamie(Penn) and Candie(Interim) for helping to make their day so special!❤️ 🌹

Take a look at all the fun we had in February!!
We watched Snow Dogs and had a winter ice cream float and of course popcorn! Made cute book marks, thanks to Melissa(Hilltop) and water color snowflakes with Bobbi(UPMC)! For Valentine’s Day we had a snack bar that the residents were able to make up their own treat bag with Valentine’s Day themed goodies all thanks to Jamie(Penn). We had a great time at the auction with Lisa(Asera), she had so many great items for auction! It’s always a wonderful morning when Pastor Cory(pinnacle) comes to sing Hymns and play guitar for us! Thank you to Chaplain Matt(Interim) and Chaplain Heidi(1Laurel) who lead us in Prayer services, it’s truly amazing!

For cooking club in the last week of January all the residents got to have a relaxing afternoon coloring while we made them Chunky Monkey milkshakes! They had all the good stuff in them, ice cream, peanut butter, chocolate cookie crumbs, bananas and topped with whipped cream!! They were Delicious!! We had a great time with Zoe who came in from Conemaugh regional Hospice and made snowmen with us on a cold snowy day! We celebrated all of our January birthdays with peach cobbler topped with ice cream while Billy Stoppe played us some wonderful music, he was amazing! We had a great time! We appreciated all the great bingo prizes and a visit with Brennan from (Grane). Thank you to everyone for making our days so great!

Thank you Candie(Interim) for coming to make polar bears with us! We also made cute little jars with battery tea tights in them, thanks Bobbi(UPMC) they turned out so cute!

We hope everyone had a great year and hope for an even better one this year!!❤️ We celebrated by watching the ball drop, haveing some sparkling juice and popcorn and a game of name that tune with the lovely Zoe with Conemaugh Reginal Hospice! Thank you!

We had the best Christmas party! Eveyone put on their best Christmas shirts and fun hats to have some hot chocolate and decorate sugar cookies! Santa arrived to hand out some great gifts and spread Christmas cheer! Thank you to all of the staff, volunteers, and in house programs that helped with everything to make Christmas such a wonderful time! Thanks to the programs that help with the gifts! (Be a Santa to a Senior) and Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, we are very grateful for all you do!
