This week marks the beginning of Su***de Prevention Month. This September, join us in starting the conversation.

Silence should never be the response to someone's pain. At NAMI, we know that one conversation can save a life. No matter what is going on, help is available. No one has to face this alone.

Here's What's Happening the week of August 30th, 2026 at NAMI Will-Grundy!

💙All groups are confidential, free, and a safe place to talk with others who have been there. It's a great way to connect with others who can relate to you. No need to register for in person groups- just attend!
💙Connection Support is a recovery support group for adults living with a mental health condition.
💙Family Support is for those who love and care for someone living with a mental health condition.

* Sunday, August 30th- Connection Support on Zoom at 6:00pm. Please register for the Zoom link at: https://namiwg.org/calendar/

* Monday, August 31st- Connection & Family Support Groups from 6:00-7:30pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 1015 Winthrop Avenue in Joliet.

* Wednesday, September 2nd- Volunteer Meeting from 6:00-7:00pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 1015 Winthrop Avenue or on Zoom. Come learn more about how you can get involved with NAMI Will-Grundy.

* Thursday, September 3rd- Connection & Family Support Groups from 6:00-7:30pm at the Joliet Living Room located at 2000 Glenwood Avenue in Joliet.

* Friday, September 4th- Come Hang Out with NAMI Will-Grundy from 6:30pm-9:00pm at Messiah Lutheran Church located at 40 Houbolt Road in Joliet. Join us for music trivia, crafts, indoor kickball, open gym, snacks, and more fun! This is an all ages event!

📣💚 Upcoming Classes Announced!💚📣

W.R.A.P. (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) will be offered virtually starting September 10th. This 8-week education series, recognized as an evidence-based recovery program, is a self-management tool designed to help you GET WELL, STAY WELL, and make your life the way YOU WANT IT.

Family-to-Family will be offered in Joliet starting September 22nd. This 9-week education series, also recognized as an evidence-based program, is for family/friends of people living with mental health challenges. The series is taught by trained family members who have "been there," and includes presentations, discussions and interactive exercises.
