🧠 NEW at Retrospect Counseling: Trauma & Emotional Regulation Group – 8 Week Course
Your brain learned to survive. Now it's time to learn how to heal.
Do you struggle with anxiety, feeling constantly on edge, emotional overwhelm, panic, irritability, difficulty sleeping, or feeling disconnected from yourself? These may be signs that your nervous system is still responding to past stress or trauma.
In addition to evidence-based psychotherapy, this group introduces practical nervous system regulation strategies—including mindfulness, gentle yoga, sauna, and cold water immersion—to help participants develop healthy coping skills and support emotional regulation as part of a comprehensive approach to healing.
The Trauma & Emotional Regulation Group is an 8-week therapist-led group program designed to help you better understand how trauma affects the brain and body while teaching practical skills to restore emotional balance and resilience.
Throughout this program, you'll learn:
✅ How trauma changes the brain and nervous system
✅ The difference between "Big T" and "Little t" trauma
✅ Why your brain can become "stuck in trauma time"
✅ How to regulate overwhelming emotions and reduce stress
✅ Grounding and nervous system regulation techniques (mindfulness, yoga, cold water immersion)
✅ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills for healthier thinking patterns
✅ EMDR-informed stabilization and coping strategies
✅ Practical tools to improve emotional resilience and daily functioning
This is not just a support group—it's a structured, evidence-informed program that equips you with lifelong skills to better manage stress, trauma, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation.
