Only 1% of the population volunteers for military service, and an even smaller fraction of those individuals become military physicians.

The Health Professions Scholarship Program allows medical students to receive full tuition scholarships and stipends in exchange for military service.

Check out our latest podcast where we chat about military medicine with two future military docs and one veteran who benefitted from the program.

So great to celebrate Dr. Amanda Deel last night as she was installed as the president of the board of the Arkansas Academy of Family Physicians. There’s no better representative of and advocate for family medicine anywhere!

We are also proud of the fact that she is the first osteopathic physician (D.O.) to hold the position.

Thank you Sarah Huckabee Sanders 💙🩺

We were honored to be included in today’s Rural Health Transformation Program grant announcement. NYITCOM at A-State received a $1.5 million grant through the PACT phase of the state’s RHTP.

We will utilize the funds to create the “Mobile Health Unit Maternal Health and Education Access Initiative,” which will operate through the medical school’s Delta Population Health Institute (DPHI).

The program will focus on Mississippi and Poinsett Counties and will address maternal healthcare by improving access to care, increasing the maternal healthcare workforce, and by providing transportation for new and expectant mothers. 👏

Big news out of Little Rock today! Thank you Sarah Huckabee Sanders! Stay tuned for details!
