Not every part of being an injector is glamorous.

Today, during a routine filler treatment, I had a positive aspiration.

As injectors, we hope it never happens…but if you inject long enough, it’s not always a matter of if. It’s whether you recognize it immediately and know exactly what to do next.

Moments like these are why Hannah and Tanika invest countless hours (and thousands of dollars) into advanced anatomy courses, cadaver labs, complication management training, product education, conferences, and continuing education.

Being an injector isn’t just about creating beautiful lips or sculpted cheeks.

It’s about understanding facial anatomy.
It’s about recognizing risk before it becomes a complication.
It’s about staying calm under pressure.
It’s about making decisions that protect our patients every single day.

Social media often highlights the pretty before and afters, the cute scrubs, and the aesthetic treatment rooms. What you don’t always see are the weekends spent in classrooms, the late nights studying anatomy, the hands on trainings, and the constant commitment to becoming better providers.

Could we cut corners? Sure.
Could we skip another conference or advanced course? Absolutely.

But we never will.

Because when you trust someone with your face, you’re not just paying for the syringe of filler.

You’re investing in their knowledge, their judgment, their experience, and their ability to keep you safe.

We may not be the least expensive option…and we’re okay with that!!!!!

Our patients deserve providers who never stop learning.

And that’s a promise we’ll always keep.
