CLINIC CLOSURE & RETIREMENT OF RICHARD DEKOK, PT
With mixed emotions, I've decided it's time to announce the closure of our outpatient physical therapy clinic and my (mostly) retirement.
The plan was always for this to happen in 2027, but as life often reminds us, plans can change. Recent changes in my own life have caused me to reassess and move my timeline up a bit, so I apologize for the short notice. Our last day for the clinic will be July 10th.
I want to express my sincere gratitude to Kevin James, Ronnie Norman, and everyone at Cynergy Rehab Group for the incredible support you've given me over the past ten years. Thank you for providing me with a professional home, countless opportunities to learn, and, most importantly, lasting friendships. Over more than three decades as a physical therapist, I've learned a great deal, but nowhere have I grown more professionally than during my time at Cynergy. I will always be grateful for that experience.
I'll truly miss my coworkers, my patients, and the privilege of doing work that I genuinely loved. At the same time, I'm looking forward to having more time for projects, hobbies, travel, and whatever adventures come next. Don't worry—I can't quite hang up my gait belt just yet. I'll still be dabbling in physical therapy here and there because I'm not quite ready to stop doing what I've enjoyed for over 30 years.
Physical therapy has been a tremendous blessing in my life, and I'm thankful God led me down this path all those years ago. It has been an honor to care for so many wonderful people throughout my career.
To everyone I've had the privilege of working with and treating—thank you. Your friendship, trust, and support have meant more than you know.
Goodbye for now... and may God bless you all.
