Mr. C.E. “Rock Hauler” Turner, age 75, of Mohawk, passed away peacefully at his home late Friday evening, September 4, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

C.E. was a dedicated public servant, retiring after 35 years of service with the Greene County Road Department. Throughout his career, he worked under the leadership of Jim Saulbury, Denise Fezzel, J.E. Jones, and David Weems. He deeply valued the camaraderie of his coworkers and considered everyone he worked alongside to be a true friend.

He leaves behind a rich legacy of love and family. C.E. is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Grace Jarnagin Turner; three sons, C.E. Turner Jr. (Jessica); Carroll Turner (Patricia) and Micky Turner (Paulette “Sherrie”); two daughters, Karen Turner and Sharon Turner; eleven grandchildren, Chase (Casey), Patrick, William (Tiffany), Corey, Makayla, Ashlynn (Hunter), Caroline (Walter), Emily Grace, Carl, Emily Elizabeth, and Maddux; twelve great-grandchildren, Easton, Lexy, Levi, Kinsley, Walker, Corwin, Adlyn, Gracie, Braylynn, Keegan, Harper, and Re*****on; his mother, Marie Turner; brothers, Lee Roy, David Turner (Shirley) Roger, Charles, and Terry; sisters, Annie, Barbra (Ralph), Brenda Tuner Crisp (Clarence Lee); God-daughter, Heather Huff.

C.E. was preceded in death by his father, Carl; brother Rober; sisters, Martha and Mary; grandparents, Lester and Annie Tuner.

In keeping his generous spirit and desire to help others, C.E.’s explicit wish was to participate in the Anatomical Gift program for medical research.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 PM, Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church (1965 Phillip Road, Mohawk, TN 37656) with Mr. George McCoy and Mr. Lee Gully officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, prior to the service.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his oncologist Dr. Sen; primary care physician, Dr. Claes Svendsen, and their respective staff; the staff of Gentiva; and Pastor Tanner for the compassionate care and support.

Mr. Kenneth Lee Key, age 88, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at his residence.

Kenneth was born on November 25, 1937, in Winston County, Alabama. He worked at Kingsport Times News and at Mason Dixon. Kenneth had a strong Christian faith and was a member of Boones Creek Christian Church for nearly 70 years. He also attended Bible Study at Nottingham Church in Hilton, VA. He enjoyed the outdoors and working on his tractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Key and Avis McLarty Key.

Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Drexie Key; son, Donald Key; daughter, Pamela Key Taylor (Tim); grandchildren, Whitney Taylor Zollman (Parker) and Matthew Taylor; great-grandchildren.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice.

A private military graveside ceremony will be held at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Boones Creek Christian Church in remembrance of Kenneth.

Deborah Lynn ‘Debbie” Rogers, age 66, Erwin, passed away Saturday, September 5, 2026, at her residence.

Mrs. Rogers was born January 30, 1960, in Erwin, Tennessee to the late Sam & Priscilla Crowder McNabb.

She was a member of Omega Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Randy Rogers, Sr., Erwin; three children, Randy Rogers, Jr., Audrey Brewer and Jeremy Rogers; grandchildren, Colton Brewer (Taylor), and Dakota “Koda” Brewer; great-grandson, Briar Brewer; brothers, Sammy McNabb (Rhonda); sisters, Suzanne McNabb and Crystal Lynthacum (Chris); nephews and nieces, Drew McNabb, Jalyn McIntosh and Aiden Lynthacun; and great niece, Violet.

Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, September 11, 2026, at Cherokee Baptist Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Laws officiating.

Dortha Lee West D***s, 87, passed away during the early morning hours at Four Oaks Nursing home, Jonesborough, TN on September 5, 2026, from advanced breast cancer.

Dortha (Dot or Dotti) was born in Johnson City, TN on June 17th, 1939, to the late Leonard West and Flora Elizabeth Maples West. She was the baby of eight children and was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Jonesborough, TN for many years.

Dortha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Lee D***s (Bob) and several of her siblings.

She is survived by her six children, Rita Baines (Sonny) Piney Flats, TN, Mitzi Garvin, Johnson City, TN, Sandra Williams, Jonesborough, TN, Randy D***s, Johnson City, TN and twins Larry (Tonya) Bluff City, TN and Gary D***s, Jonesborough, TN; brothers, Luke West of Gray, TN and Ted West of Augusta, GA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Dortha was ready to go home - not only to her Lord, but to the family who had gone before her. While we will miss her beyond words, we can find comfort knowing that she is finally home and no longer suffering.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Robert, and where her mother and father are also buried. She requested no visitation but with graveside services and burial to be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at The Veterans Administration (Mountain Home) in Johnson City, TN with Pastor Lenny Smith officiating. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:45 PM.
