Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Missouri Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Founded in 1957, the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Missouri has served the Joplin community for over 52 years. Through after-school and summer programs, we provide a safe, nurturing, and caring environment for youth ages 6-18. All members receive help completing homework, access to a fully equipped computer lab, gym, and playground, and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with professional staff. One of the things we are most thankful for is a Board that doesn’t just support our mission, but wants to continue growing right alongside us.

Our CEO, Director of Development, and members of our Board had the opportunity to come together with leaders from other Boys & Girls Clubs to learn, share ideas, and talk about how we can continue getting better for the kids and families we serve.

Having Board members who are willing to invest their time, learn alongside our team, and bring new ideas back to our Club means so much. Growth doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when people are willing to show up, listen, learn, and keep pushing forward together.

We are incredibly thankful for a Board that believes in where we are going and continues to grow with us. Great Futures really are a team effort. 💙

Club life is already off to an exciting start this school year!

From fingerprint caterpillars to paper rockets flying across the gym, there's been no shortage of imagination around the Club!

Activities like these help kids build new skills, express themselves, and take pride in their work. We give kids a place to imagine, create, and discover new interests every day!💙
