Last workshop offering for some time to come!

I know how difficult it can be to choose indoor activities during our brief and unpredictable Wallowa County spring! I too feel the pull to be working the soil and taking in fresh air and sunshine.

And...

Creating an intention to care for your hips and low back can provide a great base for strength and mobility that will support your body through the physical demands of the season.

Not only that, but the practice of yoga is always a chance to develop greater sensitivity toward yourself. If you are anything like me, the call to keep working on a project can override the need for rest. But, I always pay for it with inflammation and pain. Caring for my body on a regular basis AND listening to the signals from my body that tell me when to be done has been so important in preventing injury and holding space for the places that have already been on a healing journey.

Thank goodness for my practice, reminding me that yoga is not just the presence we practice on the mat, but also the presence we practice when a child is sick and needs a parent to be with them
Thankful for my practice as a yogi and the way it supports my role as a mom. They really do go hand in hand

The 7th chakra, the thousand fold lotus, located at the crown, helps us remember who we truly are beyond the identities we have created
It is our ability to analyze and assimilate information. It is the place where we seek knowledge and simultaneously stay open-minded
The 7th chakra helps us connect ground to sky, and to realize that the world is our teacher
This chakra helps us to find our spiritual wealth and to feel our own Divinity
We see ourselves and world around us as ever unfolding, full of beauty on a moment to moment basis

When a person is told that what they observe is not true, or that the intuitive sense they have about a situation is wrong, they may begin to shut down the 6th chakra, or the 3rd eye
This center is the place from which we perceive the world and ourselves
It is the place of imagination, dreams, visions, insights, symbolism, and memory, oh and of course...intuition
It's a place through which we can connect with Universal wisdom and the higher vibrations of ether
Visual art, visualization of healing, and meditation can all help affirm this center and expand the capacity to manifest our dreams
