What is the difference between neurodivergent and neurotypical? I am learning that there are many misconceptions, so I would like to help clarify this with simplicity.
Neurodivergent- the brain processes the world, communicates, and learns a little differently than what society sees as the “norm”
Neurotypical- the brain processes the world, communicates, and learns in ways that are considered by society to be the “norm”
The support group offered for “Parents of Uniquely Wired Children” is for any and every parent that feels their child falls under the “neurodivergent” umbrella. This can include a broad range of diagnoses or may not even have a diagnosis at all! If you feel that you can benefit from having support, please come join us!
Our next group meeting will be Thursday, Sept 17 at 6:00 PM.
