We're partnering with Deckhand Dave's Fish Tacos this Saturday, September 20th, to raise funds for Cure for Cade. Head downtown, eat your heart out, and help this special boy get the gene therapy he needs!

Who volunteers for Hearing the Call? Of course, there are many generous audiologists who travel from the U.S. to help hundreds of hearing impaired individuals across the world. But there are also people who have careers outside the medical field, and they’re able to contribute in so many meaningful ways. From registration, to earmolds, to directing patients from room to room, each person who gives back is an essential part of a successful clinic.

Did you know dogs can hear sounds at much higher frequencies than humans? While we catch up to 20,000 Hz, our furry friends can detect up to 65,000 Hz!

What’s one of the biggest challenges of Hearing the Call trips? Testing children in makeshift clinics! Nevertheless, the volunteer audiologists know how to get creative and have fun while getting accurate testing to really change the path of the kids’ lives. The nonprofit tries to fit children with two devices (when needed) because it will dramatically improve their success rate in schools and in their family.
