Saturdays August 22
1:30pm Challenge course
This option is for currently certified students who want to renew without taking a full class must pass a written test with at least 80% and a practical test on the first try to Red Cross standards.
If you fail you can take the blended learning class immediately after.

Blended learning class from 2:30-5
You must complete an online home study course prior to the in person skill session.Blended Learning Adult and Pediatric CPR and First Aid Class 2:30-5pm.

Students must be on time and attend all portions of the class that they are applying for to get a 2 year certificate.

Monday August 24 2026
9:30am-12:30pm 3 NCBTMB CE hours
No massage experience required.
Learn the correct placement, safety, contraindications and use of both silicone and vacuum suction cups in massage. Demonstration followed by hands on practice. Learn to use cups on others and yourself.
Limited to 8 students. 3 hours of NCBTMB approved training with certificate. These hours count towards your Hawaii massage license renewal. $150.
Introduction to Hawaiian Massage for Pregnancy
Saturday August 29 11:00am-6pm
Earns 3-6 NCBTMB and DONA CEUs
No Prior massage training required.
This class is open to Massage Therapists, Doulas and Health Care professionals who want to acquire the skills to help provide comfort to pregnant women. Also open to pregnant women and couples who want skills to help with prenatal comfort, labor support and post partum recovery.
A gentle but effective massage for the mother to be, nurturing the whole body and targeting the areas most affected by pregnancy. In this workshop students will learn safety, anatomical changes, acupressure points to use and to avoid and massage techniques appropriate for all stages of pregnancy as well as contraindications.
11am-2pm 3 CE hours
Covers all the anatomy, contraindications, acupressure points to use and avoid in pregnancy and massage techniques and comfort measures using birth balls, chairs and a fully clothed, full body side lying massage sequence on a massage table. This day an be taken alone by massage therapists, doulas and couples and earns 3 CEs with NCBTMB and DONA. For doulas and couples looking for comfort measures and massage techniques for labor this day is more suitable if you only take one day.
3-6pm 3 CE hours
You will learn Hawaiian Massage techniques on massage tables completing a basic full body side-lying massage routine on bare skin with oil. The side lying work is also great for elderly, nursing or post operative patients or those who can not lie face down for long. Students who have prior training in the anatomy and safety information covered in day one can attend this class on its own ( this information is not repeated or included in the handouts for only this block).
Carrie Curtis is the owner of Hamoea Healing Arts LLC based in Honolulu,Hawaii. She has practiced pregnancy massage for over 28 years and is trained as a birth doula with experience in both home and hospital births.
She has been a licensed massage therapist since 1998 and an NCBTMB Approved continuing education provider since 2000 and birth doula since 2006. She travels the world teaching Hawaiian Massage workshops. Her classes are also accredited in Canada, Australia, and the UK and she is an affiliate member of Massage New Zealand. Her classes are fun and packed with techniques, with an emphasis on proper form and body mechanics.
Students will pair up to give and receive hands on massage in this class.
Once you sign up for the class, $100 of your payment is Non-Refundable and Non-Transferable. However, to prevent the spread of illness if you are experiencing any type of flu or Covid like symptoms, please refrain from attending the class. You will have an opportunity to make up the class with a credit for any tuition balance over $100 remaining within one year.
