When cardiac arrest happens, every second counts, and the first chance of survival often comes from the people nearby. During National CPR Week, June 1-7, it is important to remember that CPR is not just for medical professionals. Anyone can learn how to take action and potentially save a life at home, at work or in the community.

Knowing the difference between a heart attack and cardiac arrest is also key to responding quickly and correctly.
