Remembering Chris Becker, whose presence in the world felt like sunlight—steady, warm, and quietly life giving. She lived a life defined not by titles, but by laughter around the kitchen table, cozy days in pajamas, her signature toe tap happy dance, and the way she cared for everyone who needed her. From her teenage love story with Kurt to decades of welcoming family, friends, nieces, nephews, and even pets into her home, Chris created a life overflowing with joy, generosity, and connection.

She cherished her siblings, adored her grandchildren, and built a home where people felt seen, accepted, and loved. Whether floating in the backyard pool, watching Anne of Green Gables, or offering comfort with her expressive almond shaped eyes, Chris made the world gentler simply by being in it.

Her legacy lives on in the laughter she sparked, the kindness she modeled, and the love she poured so freely into her family and all who were lucky enough to be part of her story. Though the world feels quieter without her, her light continues in every heart she touched.

The Life Story of Hank Rohs

Celebrating the wonderful, curious, and endlessly creative life of Henry “Hank” Rohs—a man whose sense of wonder never dimmed. From the moment he “accidentally scorched the wall of his bedroom” experimenting with fireworks, Hank was off and running, turning curiosity into a lifelong adventure. He once launched a trash can lid “literally into space,” built rockets with extra engines just because, and created his own sunscreen brand in the kitchen and bathtub. Only Hank.

He loved deeply—Joan, his kids, his grandkids, his great grandkids—and he showed it through gardening, coaching, singing, tinkering, debating, collecting, and making every person feel interesting and valued. He hitchhiked through snowstorms for love, built a cottage that became the heartbeat of three generations, and filled family life with fireworks, games, laughter, and the kind of stories that get better every time they’re told.

Hank was funny, inventive, faithful, competitive in the most charming way, and curious about absolutely everything. His legacy is joy, generosity, and that spark he carried from childhood to his very last days. A life fully lived, and fully loved.

The Life Story of Todd Gibson

Celebrating the life of Todd Gibson, who never once bothered with “ordinary.” Born on Pi Day with full nerd credentials, he spent 20 years in the Navy as a proud “weather guesser,” collecting stories, mischief, and just enough late liberty returns to keep things interesting. He led with heart, drank sunrise coffee like a religion, and made people believe in themselves—usually while cracking a joke at exactly the wrong (right) moment.

Todd loved his kids, adored being “Bad Grandpa/Baba Todd,” talked to animals like they were coworkers, cooked like a wizard, and traveled the world with Betsy—their love story starting, naturally, with “the answer is always 42.” They lived five lifetimes of adventure, music, kayaking, Airstream wandering, and Halloween vampire weddings in Hell, Michigan. Because of course they did.

He didn’t want sainthood or a snoozy memorial, so we won’t do that. We’ll just say he was funny, stubborn in the best ways, curious about everything, kind without admitting it, and absolutely full of love. Todd will keep showing up—in weird weather, perfectly timed songs, dogs staring at invisible things, inappropriate jokes, and every glass raised with direct eye contact and questionable judgment.

Gone too soon but never gone for good.

Maria was the heart of her family—a devoted wife, loving mother, proud Yiayia, and joyful great grandmother. She stayed closely connected to her roots in Greece, cherished long talks with her siblings, and found peace in her garden’s blooms. Today we celebrate the unforgettable life of Mark Hunter, a man whose stories were as big, warm, and joy filled as the heart behind them. Born with a backbeat in his bones and a sweet tooth in his smile, Mark spent his life connecting with people through humor, generosity, and genuine interest. He was the kid who jumped over the couch to impress a babysitter, the MSU fan who never missed a tailgate, the survivor who fought leukemia with grit and laughter, and the storyteller who turned every moment into something worth remembering. The Life Story of James “Micky” Gray

Remembering James “Micky” Gray, a man who found joy in life’s simple moments and shared that joy with everyone around him. From his mischievous childhood adventures—like getting chased by a brown bear in Alabama—to raising his five sons with love, humor, and endless determination, Micky lived with a grit and goofiness that made him unforgettable. He worked hard for 30 years at Knouse Foods, tinkered with anything he could take apart and rebuild, built lawnmowers for his boys, and loved the outdoors, especially catch and release fishing and trips to the UP. Micky showed up for every dance recital, every important moment, and loved talking tech with his grandson Gabe. Music, audiobooks, fantasy, sci fi—he embraced it all with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Most of all, Micky loved fiercely. He was the steady presence, the jokester, the caretaker of pets, and the man who could make anyone smile. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of laughter, love, and resilience lives on in the family he treasured and the memories he leaves behind.

The Life Story of Chris Kuehlen

Remembering Chris Keuhlen, a man whose faith, generosity, and quiet kindness touched everyone around him. Growing up in a lively New Jersey household, Chris learned early the value of hard work, family, and a little harmless mischief. He carried that spirit into his years in the Navy, his long career in IT, and most importantly, into the life he built with Carol—a love strengthened by shared faith, shared birthdays, and a shared devotion to family. Chris loved simple joys: woodworking in his garage, fishing around Portage in his folding boat, tending his garden, cooking family recipes, and gathering with loved ones over a home cooked meal. At church, he served with humility and heart, always ready to lend a hand or offer encouragement.

He gave generously of his time, his talents, and his love—never hesitating to help a neighbor, support a friend, or show up for his family. Though he will be dearly missed, Chris’s legacy lives on in every act of kindness, every problem solved with patience, and every moment we choose to lead with our hearts, just as he did.
