When setting PEEP using APRV, TCAV method or not. Do you know the intrinsic PEEP and the Driving pressure or the end-expiratory trans-pulmonary pressure? Probably guess work.
Using esophageal balloon and end expiratory pause will give you the answers. Please look at first figure first, then 2nd one with the pause.
