Divorce taught me to stop obsessing over what my ex-husband did to me and start asking myself the harder question: What part of me chose him to begin with?

That wasn’t an easy truth to sit with.

It’s easy to stay focused on someone else’s actions. It’s harder to look inward and realize that sometimes our conditioning makes decisions long before our conscious mind ever does. My marriage forced me to meet the little girl inside of me who confused inconsistency with love, who believed she had to earn affection, and who normalized things that should have never felt normal.

Healing has required a level of honesty I never knew I was capable of. The kind of honesty that strips away every excuse and every story you’ve been telling yourself. It’s uncomfortable. It’s vulnerable. But it’s also the most freeing thing I’ve ever experienced.

The woman I am today is not the same woman who boarded that plane a year ago. She’s not even the same woman I was a few weeks ago. Every layer I’ve peeled back has brought me closer to the version of myself I remember before life convinced me to shrink. And I can’t wait to keep meeting her.

I believe in radical accountability. Not because I caused what happened to me, but because I have the power to choose what happens next. I chose that relationship. I chose to stay longer than I should have. And eventually, I chose myself.

I can’t even put into words how light I feel.

I would never wish divorce on anyone. But I will always pray for the courage of the woman who has forgotten herself trying to love someone committed to hurting her.

You do not have to stay.

God is not asking you to sacrifice yourself to prove your love. Love should feel safe. It should honor your spirit, not slowly erase it.

Today, I thank God that I chose me.

And for the first time in a very long time…

I am free.

Rituals don’t stay still when you move. They evolve with you.

Same intention, new land, new sacred scents. Grounding myself in what I brought and what this place is offering.

Always coming back home to me. In all ways 🫶🏽

The greatest relationship I’ve built this last year wasn’t a romantic one.

It was the one I built with myself.

Living in Asia has given me something I don’t think I ever would have found if I had stayed busy chasing a business goal.

It gave me solitude.
And solitude has a way of introducing you to yourself.
Not the version of you that’s performing.
Not the version that’s trying to be chosen.

Just… you.

This year I’ve had to look at myself honestly.

There were places where I was the problem.
Places where I was still carrying old wounds.
Places where I needed to apologize to myself for abandoning me.

And instead of running from those parts, I sat with them. I healed them. I grew through them.

Something shifts when you genuinely like the person you are, even when no one else is around.

Your standards change.
Your relationships change.
Your nervous system changes.
The energy you carry changes.

People always ask me why my life in Asia feels so magical.

I don’t think it’s just because I moved across the world.

I think it’s because I finally had the space to refine the parts of me that still needed healing.

And when you become someone beautiful on the inside, you naturally begin attracting beautiful people, beautiful opportunities, and beautiful experiences.

The geography changed.
But the real transformation happened within me. 🤎

Seventeen years ago, I started this business as a way to pull myself out of severe postpartum depression.

I just needed a way back to myself.

What I didn’t know then was that it would grow into something so much bigger… a space, a ministry, a reminder for women that you are allowed to choose yourself first.

Because when you do, you don’t lose your children… you become more present, more whole, more you for them.

This journey has taken me and my babies around the world. It’s shown other women that yes, you can travel with your kids, you can build a life on your terms, and you can even wake up one day and move across the world if that’s what your soul is calling you to do.

Seventeen years later, in an economy like this, I’m not just proud… I’m deeply grateful.

Do I miss The Creamery some days? Absolutely. Then I go to the beach and eat a mango and sit in gratitude to enjoy my business again in a way that isn’t draining me.

This was never just about soap. Soap was just the tool🤎 It’s intention in a bar form that’s its ok to romanticize every part of your life. For every lesson, every pivot, every woman who trusted me, and every version of myself that refused to give up.

Here’s the secret sauce:
*Drink your water. For real. Dehydration presents itself aesthetically first in the skin, hair & nails. Add some fruit or something but stay hydrated. Also add a pinch of Himalayan salt or Celtic salt for the electrolytes.
*Nourish your body. Chill on processed food and eat real, fresh foods with healing herbs and spices. Be so good to your body you have to live in it. Supplements are great as well but remember they are supplements and do not replace getting most of your nutrients from whole foods.
*Stay . We really should have made this a bigger movement because hunny the way stress attacks your body, throws off your cortisol levels and will thin them damn edges out so fast😩 Get rid of anyone or anything giving you the blues. What you can’t shift in your life yet, that’s ok beloved you’re just going to have to listen to grounding meditation every morning like I do and stay as aligned as you can ✨
*Feed your scalp. Use high quality oils in your hair, make it a ritual and massage your scalp when you apply. Speak over yourself. You a bad bih, treat yourself with goddess energy in everything you do. Romanticize something so simple as applying oil. And buy my oil because it works and it’s a 16 year bestseller so it isn’t up for debate 😘

K love yall big. Go love on yourself big today as well ✨
