Maddie and her husband Hayden were referred to me by her sister, who is a repeat client. It was such an honor to walk alongside Maddie while also supporting her sister again—they were pregnant together (so special 🥹).

From the beginning, Maddie desired a peaceful, unmedicated birth with the use of postpartum Pitocin. As a first-time mom, she wasn’t fully confident in what her body was capable of yet. Her main focus was “healthy mom, healthy baby,” and she wondered if, having never labored before, she would be prepared.

Throughout each prenatal visit I had the privilege of watching her perspective and beliefs shift. Through education, self-reflection, and growing trust in God’s design, she was transforming~ as pregnancy often invites us to do.

Late one morning, her waters ruptured without any signs of labor. By mid-afternoon the waves of labor had begun, and she spent those early hours laboring peacefully at home. That evening she and her husband made their way to the hospital, where I joined them for in-person support.

They were given the gift of an undisturbed birth space. Maddie labored beautifully with just her husband and I by her side. Their incredible nurse honored the atmosphere they had created, and the on-call provider did not want to come by unless Maddie was ready for a cervical exam.

Hayden supported Maddie with such tenderness and strength as she worked to bring their baby earthside. When she began feeling the urge to push the birth team entered, and not long after their precious baby was in her arms.

When I first met Stephanie during our virtual consultation, our conversation felt both easeful and beautifully direct. Stephanie had a clear vision for her birth and a strong understanding of the kind of support she desired. While I typically encourage potential clients to interview with multiple doulas, Stephanie felt deeply aligned with my model of care and chose to move forward with support that same day.

Stephanie’s husband Daniel is serving our country overseas, therefore I joined just Stephanie and her mother in the early hours of the morning supporting her physically and emotionally until her incredible midwifery team arrived, and until her husband could us join virtually.

Despite her husband’s physical absence in her birth space, Stephanie labored with remarkable bravery and peace. It was evident that Jesus was meeting her in each moment, providing exactly what she needed right when she needed it most. While filing up her birth tub, the hot water ran out. Stephanie’s loving mother made every attempt to fill up the tub by making 5 or more trips up and down the stairs with pots of boiling water. Despite all efforts, Stephanie’s body and babe were ready for birth.

By God’s perfect timing, Daniel was able to answer the call just as Stephanie began to push—encouraging her and witnessing the birth of their baby. It was truly incredible.

It was such an honor to support Stephanie and Daniel as their doula, and to witness her powerful transformation through birth.

Callie was so supportive throughout every interaction and made sure I was 100% prepared for anything that could come my way during labor and child birth. Years ago I met Cassie at Church. She exudes love, understanding and safety. This was a blessing to me particularly on chaotic Sunday mornings with my boys. Seeing her name pop up as an inquiry for Labor and Birth support was so special.

Cassie has endured medical and health trauma due to health complications and major surgery’s. During her entire pregnancy we processed the new sensations in her body, anxiety, joy and Gods promises. She dove in deep and did so much work.

Levi, her rock, supported her emotionally and physically so beautifully. Gently holding space and standing strong, on a quest to learn all about physiological birth and more.

Contractions with bloody show began in the early hours of the morning. Her babe began his journey. By 10:00 AM contractions were four minutes apart. Sweet boy was born peacefully about three hours later at 12:57. Cassie experienced her rebirth from maiden to mother, leaving her worry at Jesus’s feet.
