There have been times when someone has asked me to use my work to help another person in their life.
Someone they love may be struggling, hurting, or going through something difficult, and they want to help.
I understand that impulse. When someone we care about is hurting, of course we want to do something.
But this is where integrity becomes very important to me.
I believe deeply in the power of intention and in the ways we can influence energy. I also believe just as deeply in permission.
I don't do work on behalf of another person without their permission. Even when the intention is loving. Even when I believe I could help.
Because being able to do something doesn't necessarily mean it's mine to do.
Part of honoring another person is honoring their right to choose what they're ready for, what they want, and what belongs to them.
Sometimes integrity is knowing what isn't ours to do.
