In-home health care is experiencing high demand due to an aging population, yet faces severe worker shortages, reimbursement pressures, and burnout, straining capacity. Demand for caregivers is outpacing supply, creating significant staffing shortages and high turnover rates.
Medicare reimbursement cuts and Medicaid managed care shifts are limiting revenue for agencies, forcing some to limit service expansion.
