There's something sacred about hands during birth — the ones gripping a partner's arm through a contraction, the ones cradling a newborn for the first time, the ones wiping away tears (yours and mine).

As your doula, I don't just capture faces. I capture the quiet, powerful language of hands: intertwined fingers during the hardest push, a father's steady palm on his partner's back, a grandmother meeting her grandbaby's tiny fist for the first time.

These are the details we forget in the blur of birth — but they tell the whole story. Strength. Comfort. Love, wordless and unmistakable.

The beginning moments of a c-section can feel stressful and nerve wracking. Shaking from both adrenaline and hormones is normal. Focus your breath on a three seconds in, three seconds out pattern. Visualize your babies face or ultrasound picture. You are doing great!
