On August 7th, 1976, Elton John and Kiki Dee's song "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It was Elton John's six number one hit in the US.

Fun Fact: Elton John and Bernie Taupin wrote the song under the pseudonyms "Ann Orson" and "Carte Blanche" in order to see if their song would still be a hit if their names were not attached to the song.

Tomorrow (July 16th) is the Alzheimer's Association Jam Session!🎶

The Jam is a free, social gathering for individuals living with memory loss, mild cognitive impairment or dementia, their families and care partners. Join us while we sing songs, play instruments, move to the beat or simply listen while enjoying the music we will make. No musical experience is necessary, just show up and join the fun.

We are gathering in person at the Lenexa Old Town Activities Center (Address: 9301 Pflumm Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215). Please register before hand so we know how many people to expect!
