Our Kingswood Senior Living Community Jam Band is a talented group of resident musicians who come together to share their love of music and the joy it brings. Featuring vocalists, violin, ukulele, and autoharp, these remarkable ladies fill the room with beautiful melodies, laughter, and friendship. 🎻 🎹🪕

Whether performing familiar favorites or simply enjoying the experience of making music together, they remind us that it's never too late to learn, create, and share your gifts.

We are so grateful for the talent, enthusiasm, and heart they bring to our community. ❤️

🇺🇸 Red, white, & blue never looked so good!💥

Residents celebrated Independence Day at our festive Fourth of July Happy Hours, showing off their patriotic spirit in their favorite red, white, and blue attire. The celebration was made even more special with a wonderful patriotic performance by our Bell Choir, filling the afternoon with music, smiles, and community.

🎉 Please join us in welcoming Naomi, our new Activities Coordinator for the Health Care building at Kingswood Senior Living Community.

Naomi joined the Kingswood team at the end of April and brings with her more than 14 years of experience as an Activities Director. She is excited to be part of the Kingswood family and says one of the things she loves most is the incredible staff and the genuine compassion they show our residents every day.

Naomi lives in Overland Park with her husband of more than eight years. Together, they have a 16-year-old daughter and an amazing 11-year-old son whom they are preparing to adopt. Their home is full of love—and animals! Naomi and her family share their home with four dogs, including Enzo, their lovable French Bulldog who occasionally enjoys coming to work with her, as well as a hamster named Waffles. 🐶 🐹

When she's not planning engaging activities for residents, Naomi enjoys singing in her church choir and making special memories with her children. She is passionate about enriching the lives of our residents and already has big plans and exciting ideas for the Health Care building.
We're thrilled to have Naomi on our team and can't wait to see all the wonderful things she will bring to Kingswood! 💙

⛱️ Kingswood recently hosted an Aquatic Open House, welcoming residents, families, and community members to learn more about the benefits of aquatic therapy and wellness. 💦

Guests had the opportunity to meet members of our therapy team, tour the pool, enjoy refreshments, and learn how aquatic-based interventions can support strength, balance, mobility, pain management, and overall wellness.

🏊‍♀️ The event also highlighted the interdisciplinary nature of therapy services. In addition to physical rehabilitation, attendees learned how aquatic-based activities can support cognitive function, communication, breath support, and speaking volume through speech therapy interventions.
