Grilling this summer? Keep your food safe and your cookout worry‑free.
Using a food thermometer is the best way to make sure meat is cooked all the way through — never rely on color alone. Undercooked meat can cause serious illness, so always check the temp before serving.

Safe Cooking Temperatures:
🍗Chicken & turkey: 165°F
🍔Ground meats (beef, pork, turkey): 160°F
🥩Beef, pork, lamb steaks & chops: 145°F + 3‑minute rest
🌭Hot dogs: 165°F if reheating
🍤Fish & Shellfish: 145°F

🌡️Thermometer Tips:
• Insert into the thickest part of the meat, avoiding bone or fat.
• Check multiple spots for large cuts or burgers.
• Clean the probe between uses to avoid cross‑contamination.
• Don’t guess doneness — only a thermometer gives accurate results.

A few extra seconds with a thermometer can prevent foodborne illness and keep your summer gatherings safe.

When the weather heats up, keeping food cold is one of the most important ways to prevent foodborne illness. Using two separate coolers can make a big difference.

☀️Why Two Coolers?
• Drinks get their own cooler — people open it constantly, letting warm air in.
• Food stays colder longer when it’s not exposed to frequent opening.

Food Cooler Safety Tips
🧊Pack it full — a full cooler stays cold longer.
🧊Use plenty of ice or ice packs to maintain 40°F or below.
🧊Keep raw meat sealed tightly to prevent leaks.
🧊Store the cooler in the shade and avoid opening it unless necessary.

A little planning goes a long way. Two coolers can help keep food at safe temperatures — and keep your whole crew healthy.
