If the nerve is still being compressed, the pain usually sticks around. That's why sciatica often keeps coming back. The underlying pressure hasn't changed.

Here's how chiropractic care helps address that:

- Restores joint movement - improves how the spine moves and reduces mechanical stress
- Spinal adjustments - help relieve pressure on the affected nerve
- Relieves muscle tension - especially in the lower back and hips where tightness can add compression
- Improves movement patterns - reduces strain during everyday activities like sitting, bending, and lifting
- Supports nervous system regulation - helps calm pain signals and improve tolerance to movement

Over time, this approach helps shift the body out of a constant irritation cycle and into a more stable, manageable state.

Stress lives in your shoulders sitting higher than they should. Your jaw tight without noticing. Your body feeling heavy, tense, and just off. You're doing everything you need to do, but your body feels like it's carrying it all with you.

That's what happens when your system doesn't get a chance to reset.

Chiropractic care is about helping your body come out of that constant "hold everything together" mode. When your body moves better and isn't holding as much tension, things feel lighter. You breathe easier. You think clearer. You're not fighting your own body all day.

If your body has been feeling like this lately, it's probably not something to ignore. Let's help your body feel like yours again.

You go to sleep, but your body doesn't fully switch off. Stress, tension, and even how your neck is positioned can carry into the night. Your jaw tightens, your teeth press together, and you wake up feeling it.

That dull ache, the tightness when you open your mouth, even headaches... it builds over time.

One simple thing to try tonight:
Before bed, take a minute to let your tongue rest gently on the roof of your mouth and allow your teeth to slightly part. Your jaw shouldn't be clenched at rest.

It sounds small, but it helps signal your body to relax instead of brace.

If this has been happening a lot lately, book in with us. Chiropractic care focuses on improving how your neck and upper spine are moving and reducing that built-up tension. When that area relaxes, your jaw often doesn't have to work as hard either.

As your body adapts during pregnancy, your center of gravity shifts, your posture changes, and certain joints, especially around the pelvis, are under a different kind of stress.

On top of that, hormones like relaxin increase ligament flexibility. That's helpful for birth, but it can also make joints feel less stable and more sensitive.
This is why a lot of women notice low back discomfort, hip tension, or pressure through the pelvis as things progress.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy focuses on helping the body move as comfortably and efficiently as possible through those changes. Techniques are modified, positions are adapted, and the goal is to support both comfort and function as the body prepares for delivery.

You crack your back, it feels amazing... and then 10 minutes later it's tight again. So many people are stuck in this cycle.

Twist, stretch, crack... quick relief. Then it comes right back.

What's usually happening is your body is overusing the areas that already move well, while the spots that actually need movement stay restricted.

When those stiff joints start moving properly again, your body doesn't have to compensate the same way. That's when relief actually lasts.

If you feel like you need to crack the same spot every day, your body is asking for a different solution. Book your assessment and let's find out what's actually causing it.

We see this every spring in our clients. You go from doing a little... to doing everything in one day.

Bent over, twisting, reaching, staying low to the ground for way too long without a break. Your body can handle the work. It just doesn't handle doing it all at once in the same position.

The easiest way to protect yourself? Change positions more often than you think you need to.

Stand up, reset, switch sides, take short breaks. Most strain doesn't come from the task, it comes from how long you stay in one position.

It's not sitting that causes the problem. It's staying in the same position for too long.

When you don't move much, your body stiffens up. Muscles tighten, joints don't move as well, and by the end of the day you feel it. That heavy, achy, stuck feeling.

The good news is you don't need a full workout to help with that. Even taking a minute to stand up, stretch out, and move your shoulders around can make a difference. It helps get things moving again and breaks up that built-up tension.

Doing that a few times during your day adds up way more than you'd think.

Save this as a reminder!

Feeding, holding, rocking, scrolling through your phone during the rare quiet moment. A lot of your day happens with your head slightly forward and down.

That position puts extra load on your neck and upper back over time. Your muscles start working harder just to hold your head up, and eventually that can lead to stiffness, tension, and even headaches.

Most moms don't notice it happening. It just slowly builds until one day your neck feels constantly tight.

Chiropractic care can help improve movement in that area and reduce some of the strain, but awareness is a big first step too. Even small breaks from that position can help more than you'd expect.

Moms: how often do you catch yourself looking down during the day?

When people think chiropractic, they usually picture adults with back pain. But kids go through a lot, too!

Learning to walk, falls, sports, heavy backpacks, long hours sitting in school, and a lot more screen time than ever before. All of that adds up.

Chiropractic care for kids is very gentle and adapted to their age and size. The focus is on how their body is moving and developing, not on treating pain the same way you would in an adult.

Sometimes it's about improving movement, sometimes it's about addressing tension patterns early, and sometimes it's just making sure everything is functioning well as they grow.

Curious about chiropractic for your kids? Book an assessment and let's talk it through!
