✨ Meet the future of healthcare! 🩺💗

This summer, we had the privilege of welcoming Audrey and Brylie to our team through our Summer MA Internship Program!

These incredible students gained hands-on experience in a pediatric healthcare setting, learned alongside our clinical team, connected with patients and families, and got a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to build a career in healthcare. 👩‍⚕️👩‍⚕️

We are so proud of how much they learned, grew, and contributed during their time with us—and we’re excited to see where their healthcare journeys take them! 🌟

A huge thank you, Audrey and Brylie, for spending your summer with Redwood Pediatrics. We loved having you! 💚

💉🩷 August is National Immunization Awareness Month!

Vaccines are one of the best ways we can protect children from serious, preventable illnesses—and every child’s immunization needs can look a little different.

This month, we’re encouraging families to:
✨ Talk with your child’s provider about their recommended vaccine schedule.
✨ Check your child’s immunization records through the patient portal or Healow app.
✨ Reach out to us if you have questions.

☀️ July is National UV Safety Month! ☀️

Summer is the perfect time for outdoor fun, but it’s also the perfect time to protect your child’s skin from harmful UV rays.

🌞 Remember these sun safety tips:
🧴 Apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30 or higher) at least 15 minutes before heading outside.
⏰ Reapply every 2 hours—and after swimming or sweating.
🧢 Add extra protection with hats, sunglasses, and lightweight clothing.
☁️ Don’t skip sunscreen on cloudy days—up to 80% of UV rays can still reach your skin.
❤️ Even one blistering sunburn during childhood can increase the risk of skin cancer later in life.

A little prevention today helps keep your family safe for years to come. Enjoy the sunshine—safely! 🌤️
