✨Beyfortus is now available at Health Care for Children!

RSV can cause serious respiratory illness in babies and young children, especially during their first RSV season. Beyfortus is a long-acting monoclonal antibody that provides passive protection against RSV lower respiratory tract disease.

➡️ Who may be eligible?

Newborns and infants born during or entering their first RSV season
Certain children up to 24 months who remain at increased risk for severe RSV disease during their second RSV season
If mom received RSV protection during pregnancy within the recommended timeframe, baby may not need Beyfortus.

🤔 Not sure if your child is eligible? Your pediatric provider can help you determine whether Beyfortus is recommended for your baby.

For many eligible babies, Beyfortus can simply be given during an upcoming newborn or well-child visit, so there may be no need to schedule a separate appointment just for it.

When you’ve been protecting kiddos from the flu all week and suddenly the pediatric team needs a little medical attention of their own. 🙃

Taking great care of kids is serious business, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little fun while we do it.🙂We’re pretty lucky to have a team that works hard, laughs together, and genuinely enjoys what they do.

Babies grow and change quickly, and each new milestone can bring new safety considerations. Crawling, reaching, grabbing, and exploring mean it’s important to regularly look at your home through your little one’s eyes.🩷

A few simple reminders for parents and caregivers:

👶 Anchor furniture and TVs
🔌 Cover accessible electrical outlets
🚪 Use safety gates near stairs
🧸 Keep small objects and choking hazards out of reach
🧴 Secure medications, cleaners, and other household products
🚗 Make sure your child’s car seat is appropriate for their age and size
😴 Follow safe sleep recommendations for every nap and bedtime

And remember, your pediatric provider is a great resource. At your baby’s well-child visits, don’t hesitate to ask questions about safe sleep, feeding, car seats, baby-proofing, developmental milestones, or anything else you’re unsure about.

Flu season is here, and we’re making it easier to protect your family! 💙

Health Care for Children now has both FluMist and flu vaccines available by appointment. FluMist is available for eligible children ages 2+, giving families another option for flu protection.

And because we know school, sports, work, and family schedules can make it tough to fit in one more appointment, we’re offering additional flu clinic availability:
