Every Friday at 10am at the South Independence Branch, Ms. Kiara hosts Baby Doll Circle Time to help children develop empathy and social skills, practice co-regulation, and build emotional safety through play.

Our Sensory-Friendly Storytimes are officially back!

We are so excited to be back for another year of offering adaptive storytimes for our communities. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and meet some new ones!

If you couldn’t make it last Friday, don’t worry! We will have one more storytime next Monday, Sept. 28, at 10 am up North at the Claycomo Library Branch! Join Delenay Rezek for a fun adaptive storytime before we head into October!

What better way to start the week than with a massage?
On Monday, we kicked off the first day of our 6-week Infant Massage class at the MCPL Lee's Summit Branch!

We had a wonderful turnout, met so many new friends, and learned so much. Our Infant Massage class will continue every Monday at 10 am until October 19th (before switching to a new location). Classes are free to attend and perfect for families with infants and young children.

As an official Perkins collaborator, we are honored to have them as an inspiring organization to look up to. Between our regional CVI initiative and Perkins' national and global work, information and awareness around CVI have increased!

The more we know and share about CVI, the earlier children can receive a diagnosis and the proper services!
