Aldon Smith was a standout defensive end whose football career took him from Raytown High School to the University of Missouri, where he earned Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year honors and All-Big 12 recognition. Selected seventh overall in the 2011 NFL Draft, he played for the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders, and Dallas Cowboys, earning Pro Bowl honors and helping lead the 49ers to Super Bowl XLVII.

While he was widely known for his athletic achievements, those closest to him will remember him most as a devoted father, loving son, loyal friend, and man of faith whose impact reached far beyond the football field.

Today, we were honored to celebrate the life and impact of Dr. Jasper Fullard Jr., a dedicated healthcare professional whose life's work was centered on improving health outcomes and reducing disparities within communities of color.

Driven by an insatiable thirst for knowledge from an early age, Dr. Fullard Jr. understood that education and advocacy were powerful tools for change. Throughout his career, he worked tirelessly to address healthcare disparities, empower patients, and create pathways to healthier futures for countless individuals and families.
His commitment extended far beyond the walls of healthcare facilities. He was a champion for equity, a lifelong learner, and a compassionate servant-leader who believed that everyone deserved access to quality care and the opportunity to live their fullest life.

He was a lifelong member of the African Methodist Episcopal church, brother of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc and cofounded the Black Healthcare Coalition.

Fullard Jr.'s legacy lives on through the lives he touched, the barriers he helped dismantle, and the example he set for future generations.
"A life dedicated to knowledge, service, and the pursuit of health equity leaves an impact that transcends time."

He leaves to remember his legacy his wife Patricia of sixty three years, two sons Kenneth and Cedric Fullard, one daughter Carrie Sirlena and a host of other relatives and friends.

Many thanks to Reverend Rodney Moody, Dr Karmi Woods, Councilwoman Melissa Robinson and everyone who remembered Dr Fullard today.

Please keep the Fullard family in your thoughts and prayers 🙏🏿

The staff of Lawrence A Jones & Sons was so honored to serve the family of Gia A Stephenson 🙏🏿

Gia was loved by so many! Her professional career spanned serving in customer service, transportation and other support roles where she prided herself in serving individuals from all walks of life. For Gia, helping others was more than a job. She deeply care about people and found fulfillment in serving those in need of support, guidance and assistance.

Gia adored her beloved Yorkie Charlie who was her constant companion. She also enjoyed shopping ( especially for a new pair of Jordan’s), reading, watching reality tv and cheering on the The Kansas City Chiefs 🏈 .

She will be truly missed!

Please keep Pastor Armour Stephenson III, the Stephenson and Gilmore families and the The City KC church in your continuous thoughts and prayers🙏🏿
