I run Nate Allen Therapy, providing mental health therapy, counseling & support for adults dealing with emotional blocks, spiritual harm & displacement, enmeshment, addiction, abuse, trauma, men's issues, and in other difficult seasons. I first entered the recovery process in 2010, as a busy touring musician, in an attempt to stop being a workaholic. I was far more broken than I could have imagined. This led to several years of tear-filled inner work and life transformation. I attended Friends University, getting my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. My therapeutic formation included a special emphasis on the many ways all things are connected. After nearly four years at Resolve Counseling in Prairie Village, I opened Nate Allen Therapy to provide in-person therapy in Kansas City and tele-therapy throughout Kansas and Missouri. To arrive at this moment, I have had over 5,000 hours of supervised training, decades of lived experience, and benefited from a community of many talented healers. My life has changed in ways I could only have imagined, and I'd love to help you on your journey. I think I have the best job in the world. Along the way, I have received advanced training in Trauma Recovery, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Enmeshment, Psychodrama, Spiritual Harm and Displacement, Somatic Healing, Coaching, Creative Unblocking, and much more.
