I wrote the following yesterday morning, and although it feels even dated now, it deserves to see the light of day. Happy blue wave. 🌊✨
The world holds its breath today
As the inhabitants of one of the largest landmasses
Flock to the polls to cast their vote.
With baited breath, we wait for night.
But even darkness may not bring answers.
Our hearts race,
Knowing the witches will awaken and know.
Tomorrow, Mercury has the ear of the king
A cazimi it is called
And secrets will be brought to light.
How do we get out of this fateful night?
Towers fall,
Buildings burn.
And I hold fear for the death to come.
But hope for what comes after.
We can feel its undercurrent now.
Wanting to close our ears to the wrong we hear.
To the pain we see.
But we cannot.
We trust in our voices.
We trust in our elections.
We trust in the purification of our society.
We trust that honor still means something in the fate of our world.
As Starseeds, we’ve come to aid in the ascension of light.
But before we can rebuild, what’s here must die.
We find the people that share the light
Of hope for a day where all souls can shine.
No matter the color of their skin or what’s in their jeans, may we live in a world where all souls can thrive.
May we realize that love is the root of truth and it holds infinite power over evil.
Sa, ta, na, ma.
Birth, life, death, rebirth.
Xoxo,
Rylie
