Desiree Amor Edwards

Desiree Edwards passed away peacefully on Monday morning August 24, 2026, at the home of her sister, Mary Clark and her nephew, Martavion Newman, with all of her family around her.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Clark.

Desiree is survived by her mother, Shirley Corral of Montello, WI; sisters, Mary Clark of Kasson, MN, Shawna (David) Emmons of Wabasha, MN, and Angel Corral of Hastings, MN; nieces, Audumn Richardson and Miranda (Matt) Klees; nephews, Shaine (Alli) Emmons and Martavion Newman; great-nieces, Lilliana and Lydia Mejia and Emma Emmons; great-nephews, Cayton Richardson, Owen Klees, Ian Klees, and Asher Emmons.

Desiree was a little social butterfly, who lit up every room she walked into. She was deeply loved by a precious circle of family and friends. Blessed be her memory.

Mary Jane Kroulik

Mary Jane Kroulik, 75, of Kasson, MN passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Mary Jane Malone Kroulik was born on October 2, 1950, in Stambaugh, Michigan, to Deloris (Anderson) Malone and Peter Malone. She graduated from Stambaugh High School and went on to proudly serve her country in the United States Navy. She attended Yeoman School in Newport, Rhode Island. Upon graduating, she received her orders to Pearl Harbor Naval Base in Honolulu, Hawaii. A slight shock to the family, her mother responded, “You must be mistaken, my dear.” She proudly served as an E5 Second Class legal secretary in the US Navy JAG Corps. It was in Honolulu that a handsome fella named Ivan Kroulik caught her eye and she fell in love.

On the island of Oahu, Mary Jane and Ivan began their life together and welcomed their first daughter, Molly. They eventually returned to the mainland, where Mary Jane attended college in Moorhead, Minnesota, earning a degree in Stenography.

The family later settled in Kasson, Minnesota, where Mary Jane and Ivan planted their roots and welcomed two more daughters, Katie and Patricia. She created a home filled with love, laughter, creativity, fun messes, music, and homemade caramel rolls. The door was always open, all were welcome, and countless memories were made.

Mary Jane had an extraordinary gift for working with children. Her gentle nature, patience, and ability to make children feel welcome and valued left a lasting impression on every child she worked with. She was instrumental in starting the KM Nursery group, where she shared her love of learning and her belief in the importance of giving children a caring place to grow. She continued her work with children in Early Childhood Special Education at Kasson-Mantorville Community Education. She was dedicated to the children she worked with. Her colleagues called her their “wise old owl”.

Faith was also an important part of Mary Jane's life. She was an active and devoted member of her church, serving as a eucharistic minister and Sunday School teacher. Her faith was reflected not only in her church service but in the compassion she showed to others and the many ways she made a difference in their lives.

Mary Jane was a true believer in giving back to her community. She volunteered often and unselfishly shared her time. Some of her favorites included driving for the Veterans Association, serving as an election judge for local elections, and delivering for Meals on Wheels. Whether serving her country, church, community, or her family, she gave of herself freely and without seeking recognition or anything in return.

Mary Jane found joy in the simple, meaningful things in life. She loved traveling and learning about history, listening to music, baking, gardening, and most of all, spending time with family and friends. She was a proud member of the MN Historical Society, The American Swedish Institute, MPR, National Parks, Dodge County Historical Society among others. She had a creative spirit, a generous heart, and a way of making the people around her feel cared for and loved.

Above all else, Mary Jane was a mom. Our Mom Bomb. Her daughters were at the center of her world, and her love for them was unwavering. Her family will remember her not only for all that she did, but for who she was- the warmth she brought into a room, the stories she shared, the traditions she created, and the love she gave so freely. Any dreams we had, she supported. She truly believed we could be anything we wanted to be. Proud president of our fan club, there were no dreams too big.

Mary Jane leaves behind a legacy of service, faith, creativity, kindness, and love that will continue on through her family and all those fortunate enough to have known her.

She is survived by her husband, Ivan Kroulik; daughters, Molly Kroulik-Bigelow and her husband Patrick Bigelow, Katie Kroulik and her husband Tim Supol, and Patty Kroulik; grandchildren, Andrew Patrick Bigelow, Elizabeth Margaret Bigelow, Kate Patricia Bigelow, Ruby Jane Malone Supol, and Henriette Agnes Supol; sister, Patty Cowell (John Cowell); and many extended family members and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Deloris (Anderson) and Peter Malone; mother-in-law, Pat Kroulik; father-in-law, Ted Kroulik; and her birds, Crackerjack, Lucky, Lucky 2, and Ndege.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1904 Mantorville Ave N in Kasson, MN with Father John Lasuba officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her mass at the church. Interment will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Preston, MN.

For those attending the mass, the family encourages you to dress casually or wear your favorite polo shirt. In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorials to the Dodge County Food Shelf and the Jeremiah Program.

Marjorie Elaine Saxton

Marjorie Elaine “Marge” Saxton, age 83, of Byron, MN passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester, Minnesota.

Marjorie Elaine was born on December 29, 1942, to Helmer and Elsie (Lindeman) Haugen in Rochester, MN. Margie and her family grew up attending school in Byron. She met her husband, Gerald H. “Jerry” Saxton and they were married at the Kasson United Methodist Church on September 27, 1958. They resided in Kasson for 38 years. Marge was a homemaker while Jerry worked at IBM in Rochester. In January of 1964, they moved to a farm south of Kasson and raised four children.

Marge discovered a love for ceramics; she enjoyed teaching ceramics to a group of friends at her country home. Many of the pieces are near and dear to her heart.

In June of 1974, Marge, Jerry and their children started spending their summers at the cabin on Cedar Lake in Morristown, MN. After Jerry retired from IBM and farming in 1982, they spent winters in Manzanillo, Mexico and summers in Minnesota. In the fall of 2001, Marge and Jerry were making the annual trip to stay the winter at the condo in Manzanillo, Mexico. On this trip, they stopped in La Feria, Texas to see friends from High School. This adventure resulted in purchasing another home for Marge and Jerry to enjoy.

Marge loved her family, traveling, connecting with many good friends, Christian and Country music. Marge enjoyed reading books, Bible Study groups, volunteering at an elementary school in La Feria, TX and Charity work for the orphanage foundation in Manzanillo, Mexico. She enjoyed playing card games especially “DIMES” and a board game Pegs & Jokers.

Marge’s spirit never wavered over her allergies and the many health issues that she endured throughout her life. Her journey here is over, and she has been welcomed by Jesus for a glorious life in heaven. She touched many lives in Minnesota, Texas and Mexico and we will remember Marge for her strong Faith, her love for Family and Country.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Paula (Scott) Lampland; grandchildren, Jason (Lindsay) Saxton, Adam (Elizabeth) Saxton, Nicole (Christopher) Scobba and Trevor (Michelle) Lampland; great-grandchildren, Cody (Mateah), Jacob, Griffen Saxton, Logan, Payton, Barrett Saxton, William Scobba; great-great-granddaughter, Violet Saxton; brother, Ronald (Barbara) Haugen; sister, Alicia (James) Grande; and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; parents, Helmer and Elsie Haugen; brother, Richard Haugen; sister, Marilyn Yennie; and her three children, Larry, Mark and Keri Saxton.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2026, at Grace Methodist Church, 801 5th Ave NW in Kasson, MN with Pastor Jacob Hanson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to her service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace Methodist Church.

George Jack Heiserman

Jack was born October 1, 1927, to George J and Marie (Helmer) Heiserman in Belle Fourche, South Dakota. He passed away on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Prairie Meadows Senior Living Center in Kasson, MN surrounded by his family.

Jack attended Spearfish Lab Elementary School in Spearfish, SD. In 1946, he graduated from Spearfish High School. Jack then enlisted in the United States Army Air Force and served from the fall of 1946 until the spring of 1948. He then worked the family ranch from 1948 to 1969. Jack ran a dairy operation on the ranch for 15 years. He later farmed acreage and raised beef cattle and sheep.

Jack and Averyl (Dusty) Leslie were married May 31, 1953, in the First Baptist Church in Deadwood, SD. They resided on a ranch on Redwater River in Spearfish, SD. They were blessed to share over 68 years of married life together before Averyl's passing in 2021.

Jack and Averyl moved to Owatonna in 1969 and then to their farm in Kasson in 1973. Jack was employed at Owatonna Tool Company (OTC) until his retirement in 1990. At OTC, Jack worked in the tool crib and later on the hammers. In 2009, they moved from the farm to Kasson.

Jack was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Kasson, MN. He was a man with a strong work ethic and was always willing to help a friend or neighbor. Jack was devoted to his family and was an amazing role model of a parent - filled with love, pride, and compassion. Over the years, he was a key caregiver for his son and family, and his wife, Averyl. Jack was a talented wood worker who built the family's first house in SD and later a cabin for Dusty's teapots on the farm near Kasson as well as numerous wood projects that he lovingly gave to family and friends. Jack loved the Black Hills, which was always home to him. He enjoyed many trips over the years to visit friends and family. He was also an avid dog lover and greatly missed his devoted dog, Toby.

Jack is survived by his children, Les, Spearfish, SD, Grace (Wayne) Steele, Owatonna, Jim, Kasson, MN, and JeanE (Gary) Brannon, Owatonna; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and nephew David (Judy) Rockwell and family, Beaufort, SC.

Jack is preceded in death by his wife, Averyl (Dusty); parents; sisters, Katie & Jim Gardner and Jane & Rock Rockwell; niece, Libby Rockwell; daughter-in-law, Mary Heiserman; and granddaughter, Lisa Hanson.

A memorial service for Jack will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 25th, 2026 at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes in Kasson (801 7th ST SE Kasson, MN) with visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish, SD with military honors by the Ellsworth Air Force Base and Spearfish Honor Guard. A reception will follow his graveside service at Jorgensen Park, 2351 North Cannon in Spearfish, SD.

Memorials can be made to donor's choice.

Jerry Robert Deno

Jerry Deno, born May 3, 1960, passed away peacefully at his home on August 11, 2026, at the age of 66.

Jerry will be deeply missed by his children, Heidi, Justin, Jed, and Jordon, along with his family and friends.

Per Jerry’s wishes, there will be no service. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Ruth Helen Allen

Ruth Helen Allen, 89, of West Concord passed away peacefully on Friday, August 7, 2026.

Ruth was born on December 12, 1936, in Grand Meadow, MN to George and Myrtle (Rabine) Hoppin. She married Dale Allen, on April 27, 1958, at Dexter United Methodist Church. They moved to Kasson, MN where they raised their four children: Lori, Lynn, Arlie, Leah. Ruth was a stay-at-home mom. In 1997, Dale and Ruth moved to West Concord and lived on the farm where Dale was raised as a teenager.

Ruth loved to cook, enjoyed getaways with her sister and girlfriends, playing golf, watching her children and grandchildren play sports, and playing cards. She enjoyed happy hour visiting with friends.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Lori (Dana) Strain; son, Arlie (Jennie) Allen; daughter, Leah (Paul) Leisen; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and brother Bill Hoppin.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, George and Myrtle Hoppin; her husband, Dale Allen; daughter, Lynn Allen; sister, Betty Rabine; and brothers, Shorty and Doug Hoppin.

A private service will be held for immediate family only.

In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials directly for them to distribute later according to their own wishes.

Kathleen Therese Claassen

Kathleen Therese Claassen, 94, of Kasson, MN passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Fairview Care Center in Dodge Center, MN.

Kathleen was born on July 10, 1932, in Albert Lea, MN to Thomas and Mary “Mollie” (Martin) Doyle. She worked as a switchboard telephone operator and then worked for Freeborn-Mower Co-op Light and Power and for Wonder Bread. She then went on to work for the Dodge County Sheriff’s Department as a 911 dispatcher, administrative assistant, and E911 dispatch supervisor for 37 years, working for five different sheriffs.

Kathleen married Douglas E. Claassen on April 21, 1956, and together they had three children, William, Mark, and Jean. Kathleen and Douglas lived in Mantorville until 1976, then moved to Hayfield, MN after Doug was hired as the Chief of Police for the City of Hayfield. They remained in Hayfield until 1999. After Doug passed away, she moved to Kasson, MN to be closer to work and family.

Kathleen enjoyed shopping, you would often find her wondering the stores just to bump into people she may know. She was a proud supporter of Law Enforcement. She looked forward to a good dessert; she always said to have dessert first so you made sure to have room for it! Her family and grandchildren meant the world to her. She would always say “family is everything”. She was known for being kind, compassionate, a little stubborn at times, and determined. She would do anything for anyone, always expressing her beautiful smile with her signature bright red lipstick and the best giggle. She will be missed dearly by many.

Kathleen is survived by her children, William Claassen and Jean (Lyle “Donnie”) Allen; grandchildren, Amber Claassen, Crystal (Dale) Diercks, James (Jaclyn) Claassen, Lyle “DJ” (Cassidy) Allen, Mollie (AJ Johnston) Allen; great-grandchildren, Hannah Robinson, Brody Robinson, Cailey Diercks, Chace Diercks, Abby Claassen, Maggie Claassen, and Oakley Allen; and her great-grandchild, Paisley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Doug Claassen; son, Mark Claassen; sister, Mary O’Marro; and brother, Thomas Doyle.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1904 Mantorville Ave N in Kasson, MN with Father John Lasuba officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Homes, 801 7th St SE in Kasson, MN and one hour prior to her service at the church on Thursday. Interment will be in St. Margaret’s Catholic Cemetery in Mantorville, MN.

Terrance "Terry" Donald Meyers

Terrance “Terry” Donald Meyers, 83, of Mantorville, Minnesota, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

Terry was born on April 28, 1943, in Hibbing, Minnesota, to Donald and Patricia Meyers. He graduated from Hibbing High School in 1961 and went on to earn his Pharmacy degree from North Dakota State University in 1966.

Following graduation, Terry worked as a pharmacist in Rochester, Minnesota, for Hunt Drug and Snyder’s Drug for 14 years. While practicing pharmacy, he pursued another dream by operating a grain and beef cattle farm for 10 years. After enduring the farm financial crisis of the early 1980s, Terry began a new chapter as a financial advisor. During his 25-year career with Paine Webber, Smith Barney, and Morgan Stanley, he helped countless individuals and families plan for their futures.

On June 13, 1970, Terry married Peggy Kobe at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Gilbert, Minnesota. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service, and were blessed with three children.

Terry was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Kasson, the Kasson Lions Club, and Sertoma. He also devoted many years to coaching youth hockey in Dodge County and girls’ high school hockey for the John Marshall/Lourdes program.

Terry loved hunting, fishing, spirited conversations about politics, and serving his community. Above all, he believed in the power of mentorship and the lasting impact one person can have on another’s life. His greatest legacy is not what he accomplished, but the lives he touched through his generosity, wisdom, humor, and unwavering belief in others. Those who knew Terry will remember not only what he taught them, but how he made them feel—encouraged, valued, and inspired.

Terry is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; his children, Mark (Joana) Meyers, Holly (Martin) Rene, and Nicholas (Michelle) Meyers; his grandchildren, Nathan Meyers, Isabella Rene, Sebastian Rene, Jaxon Meyers, Chloe Rene, Olivia Meyers, and Savannah Meyers; and his sister, Pam (Ron) Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Patricia Meyers, and his parents-in-law, George and Margaret Kobe.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 1904 Mantorville Ave N, Kasson, Minnesota, with Father John Lasuba officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Interment will take place on Monday, August 10, 2026, at the Gilbert Cemetery in Gilbert, Minnesota.

Wendell Lloyd Multhaup

Wendell Lloyd Multhaup, age 94, of Hayfield, MN, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield, MN. Wendell was born on June 11, 1932, in Winona, MN, to Henry Multhaup and Alma (Meyer) Multhaup. He graduated from Winona High School in 1950. He then graduated from Winona State University in 1954, with a degree in biology. Wendell was united in marriage to Mae Wager on June 18, 1955, at Central Lutheran Church in Winona, MN.

He started his career in Trempealeau, WI, where he taught for one year. Wendell then began teaching at Hayfield High School. During the summers from 1963 to 1966, he completed graduate work and earned his master’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. Wendell taught biology and chemistry for 38 years in Hayfield. He was known for preparing his students for success in the future. Wendell was ahead of his time in using behavioral objectives that told students exactly what they needed to master to do well in his courses.

Beyond the sciences, Wendell was a dedicated behind-the-wheel driver’s ed teacher. He spent countless hours timing wrestling meets and served the school as head of the science department, camera club advisor, and A.V. supervisor.

Wendell was a long-time member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hayfield, MN. He also served in the Lion's Club with his legendary organizational skills. He was chapter secretary for many years and served as District Secretary for one term.

He was a driving force in shaping The Oaks Golf Club course. After objecting to the original plans as too long for the average golfer, Wendell helped draw and implement new plans that made the course what it is today.

Wendell loved spending time outdoors. He was an avid gardener, camper, hunter, and fisherman. As a fly fisherman, he tied his own flies. Wendell was a devoted Green Bay Packers fan and owner. He enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Alma Multhaup; his sisters, Marlene (Obed) Jacobson and Alma "Ammie" (John) Steien.

Wendell is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Mae Multhaup; his children, Allen (Belinda) Multhaup and Kristi (Mark Faust) Multhaup; grandchildren, Casey Multhaup and Danielle (Chance) Karlen; brother, Darrell Multhaup; sister-in-law Peggy Hanson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Wendell will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 104 1st St SE in Hayfield, MN with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Pieper's Valley Cemetery near Fountain City, WI.
