At the end of this prenatal visit, I asked mama if she had any remaining questions.

Her response: “I’m glad you came. I’m feeling more confident and comfortable.”

That moment reminded me that birth preparation isn’t about controlling every outcome or knowing every possible scenario. It’s about having the education, tools, and support needed to approach birth with confidence.

As a doula, one of my greatest goals is helping families feel informed, empowered, and prepared for the journey ahead.

Every family deserves to feel confident going into birth. 🤍

There’s a difference between supporting a birth… and trying to control it.

My role is to provide comfort, offer guidance, support both mom and dad, and to respect the space and medical team

Sometimes that looks like hip squeezes.

Sometimes that looks like stepping back.
