Back to school is 2 weeks away โ€” and it's not just the kids feeling it.

New teachers, new routines, new social dynamics... and for parents: drop-off anxiety, schedule chaos, and the constant "is my kid adjusting okay?"

If your child seems withdrawn, has more meltdowns, or feels like a quieter version of themselves right now โ€” that's a normal response to a big transition. And not knowing what to do about it is normal too.

Autumn Jeria specializes in child & adolescent therapy and helps kids AND parents build the tools for seasons like this. You don't have to do it alone. ๐Ÿ’™

It never starts with the resignation letter.

It starts months earlier, when someone stops speaking up.

They're still hitting every deadline. Still on every call. But the person who used to push back in meetings has gone quiet, and nothing on paper says anything is wrong.

Their manager notices. And then the moment passes.

Not indifference โ€” no training. No one showed them what to say, when to escalate, or where the line sits between a check-in and an overstep. So they say nothing. By the time it reaches HR, it's an exit interview.

The World Health Organization puts the cost at 12 billion working days lost every year to depression and anxiety โ€” roughly a trillion dollars in lost productivity. Every one of those days belonged to someone who had a manager.

Which is why WHO's own recommendation isn't another platform. It's training the people who run the teams.

Three things that move the number:

01 โ€” Train the manager, not just the workforce
02 โ€” Measure retention, not registrations
03 โ€” Build the skill before you need it, not the week notice gets handed in

We work with leadership teams on exactly this. Not a vendor contract โ€” a conversation about what's actually happening in your organization.

Save this, and send it to whoever owns your people strategy.

When you're in a hard season, look around and it seems like nobody gets out of it.

That's not true. It just looks that way โ€” because people talk about the year everything fell apart, and they don't talk about the month it started getting better.

New federal data out this week: 44.1 million American adults say they're in recovery from a mental health issue, or have already come through one.

That's not a rare group. It's just a quiet one.

Swipe through for the three things we find ourselves saying most often to people in their first few weeks of counseling.

And if you're in it right now โ€” you don't have to have it sorted out before you reach out. Send us a message and we'll take it from there.

Most disengagement never shows up in an exit interview. It shows up in the room โ€” quiet meetings, flat energy, top performers who stop pushing.

Gallup's newest global report found only 20% of employees worldwide are engaged at work. The other 80% aren't lazy. They're unsupported.

Engagement is an emotional outcome โ€” and emotional outcomes are built in conversations, not policy documents. At Corporate & Family Counseling, we help organizations build teams that are actually in the room.

The obstacles don't change.

Burnout. Decision fatigue. The particular isolation of being
the person everyone else brings their problems to.

Those don't disappear because you found a coach.

What changes is whether you're navigating them alone โ€” or
with someone whose whole job is knowing the terrain.

Stop coasting. Start becoming.

The Expansion Room. Six months. Enrollment is intentionally limited.

Nobody tells you how lonely it gets.
You were great at the work. So they gave you a team.
Now you're the person everyone brings problems to โ€” and you've got nowhere to bring yours.
You can't vent to your reports. You won't vent to your boss.
So you Google it at 11pm and hope you're doing this right.
โ โ€”
That's who The Expansion Room is for.
Six months. Same people, every session. Virtual, so it fits a real calendar.
A room of leaders working through the exact things you're not supposed to say out loud โ€” the report you should have let go of six months ago, the peer who undermines you in meetings, the imposter feeling that didn't leave when the title arrived.
Not a webinar you half-watch with email open.
A room where people know your name and remember what you said last month.
โ โ€”
Gallup found 70% of the variance in team engagement traces back to one person: the manager.
Everyone knows that number. Almost nobody does anything about it.
โ โ€”
If you're a leader who's been carrying this alone โ€” come.
If you manage leaders who are โ€” send them.
