KRMC presented Cafe Associate Lori Wilkins with a Beyond Expectations Award this week.

"Since I started at KRMC, Lori has consistently shown respect and kindness to every person who comes through the café. Whether she is serving a patient, a family member visiting a loved one, or one of our own staff members, she is always engaged, welcoming, and genuinely focused on helping others. I have witnessed Lori's patience and compassion with new employees as they learn their roles, and I have seen her step in without hesitation to help during busy times, ensuring both customers and coworkers are supported. Her willingness to serve goes beyond her job responsibilities and reflects her deep commitment to those around her.

You’ll greet guests with warmth, offer clear guidance, and help create a positive first impression that sets the tone for their entire visit. You’ll also deliver flowers to patient rooms, adding a bright moment of kindness that truly matters.

Shifts are easy to fit into your week—choose either 8 to 10 a.m. or 10 a.m. to noon, on the day that works best for you. Just a couple of hours can make a meaningful difference in someone’s experience.

KRMC Bryan Young Professionals assisted Dobytown Kiwanis in packing school supplies into backpacks for low-income students across Buffalo County. Through this community effort, local students will start the school year with the tools they need to succeed. Kiwanis International

Congratulations to Tenley Wagner, ICU CNA on being honored with a Beyond Expectations Award. In recognition of her exceptional care, a donation was also made to the KRMC Foundation in her honor.

Nomination from a Co-worker:

"We had a few pediatric patients in our ICU, some that had been there for an over a week. During Easter, Tenley went out of her way to get each pediatric patient an Easter basket to hand out Easter morning. She wasn’t working that day but came in on her time off to deliver handpicked baskets. The joy that the kids and families had was moving. Being in the ICU with your child is always a scary, sad experience, and Tenley definitely brought a smile to their faces that morning. I just think it’s great that someone takes time for such a kind gesture. Tenley is always a great CNA to work with, not only does she do a great job with her tasks but is so good with our patients."
