A myopia diagnosis isn't the end of the story. It's just the beginning. Here are 3 things I want parents to know:
1 Myopia is more than blurry vision: myopia (nearsightedness) can increase the risk of future eye diseases including retinal detachments, glaucoma and macular degeneration
2 Stronger glasses aren't the only option: standard glasses help today's blurriness but don't slow the disease process
3 Starting early matters: early identification gives us more options and opportunities to manage it!
