I was going to post a reminder about ReWild this Friday night, but instead I want to rave about this little plant being.
Last night, during my trail assessment for the hike, I spent a few minutes watching this plant sway in the wind.
It had a presence that drew me in.
The bees were all over it.
The wind moved through it in a magical way.
So I stayed a little longer.
Then an indigo bunting began singing from a nearby branch. (Sound on if you want to hear it!) 🤩
I smiled.
There’s a kind of magic that happens when you’re out in the natural world.
Things just seem to appear when you need them.
In Tending Your Roots, Mindi K. Counts, MA, LAc. writes about plant allies as teachers, guides, and companions that invite us into deeper relationship with ourselves and the natural world.
Lemon beebalm has a surprisingly beautiful reputation. A few things that stood out to me:
• Opening the heart to deeper connection
• Restoring emotional clarity and joy
• Grounding an overstimulated nervous system
• Releasing tension and creating space to breathe
• Awakening presence and vitality
When I learned that, I had one of those “wait…what?” moments.
Not because it explained the experience. Because it seemed to mirror it.
It was one of those truly beautiful moments I could say I didn’t know I needed.
But honestly? I absolutely knew I needed it.
This is part of the spirit behind ReWild.
Showing up.
Awakening your senses.
Creating space for curiosity, connection, and a little magic to happen.
Details for Friday’s ReWild gathering are in your inbox now!
